Home-Start provides regular support and practical help to families under stress, helping to prevent family crises. Home-Start is looking for a co-ordinator to join our professional team. You will be managing a caseload of families who have at least one child aged 9 or under, who are supported by weekly Home-Visiting services. This role will also include the management of some of Home-Start’s weekly Family Support Groups. You will be required to manage the planning and delivery of the Family Support Groups, visit families in their own homes and train and support volunteers, together with the existing service delivery team. With experience working as part of a team, you should have a good understanding of the needs of families with young children, including the challenges parents today face. You must be committed to good safeguarding practices, and experience of working with other Family Support services would be advantageous. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Having experience of working in the voluntary sector would also be desirable.
