Primary Care Clinical Lead\n Location: HMP Feltham Contract Type: Full-Time Salary: NHS Band 7 Start Date: As soon as possible \n About the Role\n We are recruiting a highly motivated and experienced Primary Care Clinical Lead to join the Health & Justice team at HMP Feltham within Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL). \n This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional with strong clinical and managerial skills, supporting the delivery of high-quality primary care services within a secure environment. \n Working within CNWL’s Health & Justice services offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of vulnerable individuals while promoting health, wellbeing, and social inclusion through the Trust’s “Caring NOT Judging” approach. \n Key Responsibilities\n \n • \n Support the Deputy Head of Healthcare (Primary Care Lead) in managing and developing the Primary Care Team \n\n • \n Lead and develop services including: \n\n • \n Long-term condition management \n\n • \n Nurse-led minor illness clinics \n\n • \n Immunisation programmes \n\n\n\n • \n Provide clinical leadership and promote high standards of patient-centred care \n\n • \n Manage staff performance, supervision, development, and appraisals \n\n • \n Respond effectively and professionally to challenging or complex situations within a secure environment \n\n • \n Work collaboratively with prison services, healthcare teams, and external agencies \n\n • \n Contribute to the development and implementation of Primary Care strategy within the prison healthcare setting \n\n • \n Deputise for the Deputy Head of Healthcare when required \n\n • \n Support service improvement, governance, and policy development initiatives \n\n\n What We’re Looking ForEssential\n \n • \n Registered Healthcare Professional (NMC/HCPC registered) \n\n • \n Evidence of continuous professional development \n\n • \n Experience working at Band 6 level or above \n\n • \n Experience within Primary Care or acute adult healthcare settings \n\n • \n Staff management, supervision, and appraisal experience \n\n • \n Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills \n\n • \n Experience responding to medical emergencies \n\n • \n Knowledge of: \n\n • \n Chronic disease and long-term condition management \n\n • \n Current developments within offender healthcare \n\n\n\n\n Desirable\n \n • \n Non-Medical Prescriber qualification \n\n • \n Mentorship qualification \n\n • \n Experience working within secure or prison healthcare settings \n\n • \n Experience developing policies and procedures \n\n
