Job DescriptionTIG Welder Paying up to $24/hr! Job Description This role focuses on precision TIG welding of stainless steel components to produce high-quality carts, racks, and trays. You will work primarily with thin-gauge stainless steel, using a thumb switch and silicon bronze filler rod, while reading blueprints and using hand tools to complete fabrication tasks in an industrial environment. Responsibilities • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel materials ranging from 18-gauge to 14-gauge with consistent quality and precision., • Use a thumb switch (rather than a foot pedal) to control the TIG welding process during all welding operations., • Apply silicon bronze filler rod as specified to join and fabricate stainless steel components., • Fabricate and assemble carts, racks, trays, and related stainless steel products according to specifications and blueprints., • Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings to determine welding requirements, dimensions, and assembly steps., • Set up welding equipment, select appropriate settings, and verify that materials and tools meet job specifications., • Use hand tools and basic fabrication equipment to prepare, fit, and finish welded parts., • Inspect welds and finished products for quality, accuracy, and adherence to tolerances, making adjustments as needed., • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area in an industrial shop environment., • 2–3 years of hands-on TIG welding experience on stainless steel., • Proficiency in TIG welding using a thumb switch rather than a foot pedal., • Demonstrated ability to weld thin-gauge stainless steel (18-gauge to 14-gauge) with clean, consistent welds., • Experience using silicon bronze filler rod in TIG welding applications., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings., • Strong stainless steel fabrication skills, including fitting and assembly., • Skilled in the safe and effective use of hand tools commonly used in metal fabrication., • Experience producing or assembling carts, racks, trays, or similar fabricated metal products., • Attention to detail and a strong focus on weld quality and consistency., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting production targets., • Willingness to work either first or second shift as needed. Work Environment This role is based in an industrial, non-climate-controlled facility where temperatures can be hot, especially during warmer months. You will work around welding equipment, fabrication tools, and stainless steel materials in a production shop setting. The position offers multiple shift options, including first shift (approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) and second shift (approximately 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with occasional 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. hours). You should be prepared for a physically active role that involves standing for extended periods, working around noise, and wearing appropriate protective gear and work-appropriate attire suitable for a welding and fabrication environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Prairie, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
