Job Description Position Summary Progressive Oral Surgery is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Oral Surgery Assistant. We provide quality care to patients, with a focus on developing lasting, trusted relationships between patients and staff. As an Oral Surgery Assistant, you will assist with pre-surgical care and education, vital tasks during surgeries, and post-surgical care. During surgeries, you may monitor vital signs and anesthesiology equipment, provide chairside assistance to the surgeon, and sterilize and store instruments after use. You may also perform other clerical tasks as required. Duties and Responsibilities • Greet patients and perform pre-surgical preparations, • Assist the oral surgeon during surgery, providing suction, monitoring instruments, and swapping tools as necessary, • Provide post-operative instruction to patients regarding healing and care, • Operate x-ray equipment, • 1-2 years assisting experience required but will train the right candidate, preferably in an oral surgery environment, • CPR certification within 1 month of hire, • Strong communications skills and a calm demeanor in stressful situations, • Extremely organized and detail oriented, • Dexterity, • Competitive salary and benefits, • Paid vacation and holidays, • 401K

Job Description This position is eligible for up to a $15,000 Sign-on Bonus! Education, License & Cert: Be a graduate of an accredited PTA degree program (or foreign equivalent). Current licensure in the state of primary practice is required. Independent judgement and excellent planning and problem‐solving skills are required. 3. Provide population appropriate therapeutic interventions resulting in positive outcomes as judged by quality monitoring and patient satisfaction. 4. Document patient response to treatment. 5. Document the course of patient care including progress made and continuing need for treatment. 6. Provide patient and family education on tasks and resources that will assist with continued functional independence. 7. Participating in continuing education/professional development activities. 8. Adhere to policies and practices of applicable professional organizations, entity facilities and Guthrie Home care specific policies while being familiar with and acts according to contents of applicable professional code, employee /handbook, unit Policy & Procedures. 9. Participate in performance improvement management activities. 10. Contribute to the delivery of cost‐effective care, maintaining productivity while being cognizant of utilizing resources. Provide patient and family education on tasks and resources that will assist with continued functional independence. 8. Participating in continuing education/professional development activities. 9. Participate in performance improvement management activities and committees sponsored by the agency and the Guthrie Healthcare System. 10. Contribute to the delivery of cost‐effective care, maintaining visit and productivity requirements, as stipulated, by agency administration.
