Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Licensed Veterinary Technician based in Rochester, NY. We are looking for both a Lead LVT and an additional LVT team-mate. The individuals will assist Doctor Ken Bedell in providing medical care to animals, including monitoring anesthesia, performing diagnostic procedures, and supporting surgical and medical interventions. Responsibilities include patient assessment, administering prescribed medications, wound care and other nursing care, surgery prep, sample collection and analysis, surgical assistance, Xray radiography, dental prophylaxis, ultrasonography, therapy laser treatment, educating clients about pet health, and ensuring best practices in veterinary technology and procedures. Qualifications • Expertise in Animal Care and Pet Care, • Knowledge and application of Veterinary Technology and Anesthesiology, • Ability to deliver Client Education on pet health and wellness, • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Comfort in working in a fast-paced veterinary environment, • New York State licensure as a Veterinary Technician, • Experience in a clinical or hospital setting for small or large animals is a plus, • Commitment to continuing education and staying current with veterinary best practices, • Possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, work well in a team environment, and have confidence working independently.
