This state-of-the-art, 750k sq ft, greenfield plant is expected to be operational in late 2025 and will lay the foundation for fairlife's next phase of growth as the leading dairy nutrition provider. While coupling the industry's latest technologies and fairlife's operational excellence to build this world-class facility, fairlife plans to hire 250 new employees and bring in approximately 5 million lbs. of milk a day, with room to grow over the coming years. 12 Hour Nights: This is a night shift position, with hours from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The role follows a rotating 2-2-3 schedule: two days on, two days off, three days on, followed by two days off, two days on, and three days off. Team members will work every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Job Summary The maintenance staff is tasked with the upkeep of buildings and grounds, as well as upkeep of machinery and processing equipment needed to operate and maintain the facility. The Plant Instrument Controls Technician (ICT) will report to the Maintenance Manager and will be maintaining all plant inspection, instrument, electrical, and controls systems and assets. In this role you will maintain the high voltage electrical distribution system (with system voltages at 480-34.5KV) to ensure uninterrupted power supply to all facilities and buildings across Eastman Business Park, and install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain components associated with the system. Essential Duties: ► Maintain Clear and Consistent Communication relating to the current status, performance and needs of your assigned location with RED-Rochester team supervisor, maintenance planner and operations staff. We are looking for an Electrical and Instrumentation Mechanic to Support our Advanced Material & Chemicals division in Rochester, NY. As an Electrical and Instrumentation Mechanic you will be responsible for the following job functions: • Electrician & Instrumentation skilled trade service to provide multi-discipline capability to repair, maintain, install and make improvements on film manufacturing equipment, complex processing equipment, chemical processing equipment, building general systems (includes instrumentation, pneumatics, hydraulics, controls (PLC’s & distributed control systems (DCS), and a wide range of electrical components), • Ability to calibrate process control instruments tight tolerances using sophisticated calibration equipment., • Ability to achieve a high level of expertise to effectively troubleshoot and repair equipment, including root cause analysis., • Some experience or expertise in mechanical, piping, HVAC equipment and controls., • Includes maintenance of motors, breakers, starters, variable speed drives, process controls devices, heat tracing, lighting, etc., • Calibrate, align and make adjustments with test equipment and measurement equipment., • Installation of conduit, wiring, switches, relays, lighting, circuit breakers using power tools and hand tools, • Install upgrades to enhance or replace outdated control systems., • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs., • Data entry and report writing including ISO documentation., • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools., • Ability to change based on priorities Requirements: • Dependable, maintain good attendance, • Maintain a clean work area and operate in a safe manner at all times., • Detail orientated Team Player, • Strong electrical and/or instrumentation training and demonstrated skills/experience, • Proficient in Math functions, • Must demonstrate effective analytical troubleshooting skills, • Able to read electrical, instrument and machine drawings, • Able to read/modify PLC programs to troubleshoot equipment problems, • Understanding of new electrical codes for hazardous environments (flammable liquids), • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, • Excellent safety record – places safety and environment as top priority in all work, • Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out, • Effective communication skills – daily communications with leaders, maintenance planner, technical staff, engineering and operations as needed., • Team player – willing to be flexible, often work in other areas and with other trades as needed., • Significant walking or other means of mobility., • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours)., • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds., • Ability to work off of ladders or scaffolding, in some awkward positions, • Indoor and outdoor work assignments, • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud., • Wear protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment required by the work environment or governmental regulations.
