Job Description The Lead Electrical Designer (or Engineer*) is a senior member & manager of the project team, working under the direct supervision of the Trade Design Manager (or Senior Engineer*) to lead and manage project teams & design initiatives. Responsibilities Brand Partnerships • Design and execute all outgoing pitch materials – ensuring they are creatively compelling, salient in storytelling and memorable, • Create engaging and high-quality mock-ups of campaign assets such as infographics, social mocks, and interactive solutions, • Create assets for various campaigns that respect client brand guidelines while still maintaining VinePair’s visual and brand voice, • Work directly with Brand Partnerships team throughout client project activation; develop visual ideas that suit the project requirements and deliver assets on time Editorial • Produce creative and custom art/illustrations for multiple editorial articles on tight daily deadlines, • Work comfortably between aesthetic styles and formats, from vector illustration to photo collage, • Create art in a consistent style for supporting editorial columns and series, • Source accurate bottle shots for wine, beer, and spirit roundups, • Collaboratively and independently create easy-to-read and visually striking data visualization and infographics, • Design dynamic tentpole packages and programs using Ceros platform Requirements • 2-3 Years of experience in-house at a media company or agency in a design role, • Ability to juggle between multiple deadlines and prioritize projects without micromanagement, • Passion for the drinks industry and general knowledge of major brands, • Strong design portfolio showing a clean, modern aesthetic, and a passion for visual narratives, • Exceptional PowerPoint design skills, • Experience or knowledge of Ceros, • Strong illustration skills and style that fits with VinePair’s aesthetic, • Animation skills are not required but are a major plus, • Convey ideas, concepts, and thinking with clarity, • Listen actively and be an effective communicator, in writing and in person, • Able to understand art direction and adhere to feedback Additional requirements • Must be able to work 4 days a week in our NYC offices, • Must be 21+ years of age, • Must love dogs (our offices are dog friendly!)
