Job Description We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will report to the Director of Human Resources or designee, the Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for providing support for a variety of Human Resources processes at the College including, but not limited to, the recruitment, orientation and onboarding of new employees, benefits administration, data management, and file maintenance. This position will serve as the first point of contact for existing and prospective employees. Example of Duties: • Provides customer service by handling inquiries via in-person, phone calls and emails, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff., • Utilize the College's ATS to post, enable access to and maintain job openings; serve as backup for conducting search committee charge meetings., • Guide new employees through the onboarding, orientation and background check processes., • Verify presented documents for the I-9 process; complete and maintain I-9 forms in accordance with federal regulations., • Prepare appointment and reappointment letters and other documents and reports as assigned., • Process Tuition Waivers, Tuition Reimbursements and HR related invoices., • Assist in processing benefits including FMLA, ADA requests, Worker's Compensation claims, and pension, dental, and FSA enrollments., • Create and/or maintain electronic records/reports utilizing variety of software applications including Microsoft Excel, ADP, Ellucian Colleague., • Perform office related duties such as scheduling appointments, filing, copying, processing mail, and scanning and emailing documents., • Bachelor’s degree in related field required., • At least one year of customer service related experience required; preferably in a Human Resources environment., • Working understanding of Human Resources principles, practices, and procedures., • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills., • Strong technical computer skills and working knowledge of computer applications including Outlook, Microsoft Office, HRIS, and ATS software., • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The salary range for this position is $45,000-$50,500.
