Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 10/27/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel Job Title: RN - cardiac ICU Location: New York, NY 10029 Department: CICU/CSDU KCC N/S Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Every Other Weekend + 4th Shift per Month) Position Summary: The Clinical Nurse (Registered Nurse) will provide safe, competent, and quality nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Mount Sinai Hospital. This role requires delivering evidence-based care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, and prioritizing patient safety and experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Patient Care • Deliver nursing care following the Relationship Centered Care model., • Assess and evaluate patient needs using critical thinking., • Implement and manage nursing interventions based on evidence-based practice., • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and evaluate care plans., • Educate patients and families about care plans, health promotion, and disease prevention., • Facilitate patient-centered care activities including admission welcome, bedside reports, purposeful rounding, and discharge planning., • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families., • Address patient concerns and escalate issues as necessary., • Practice safe, efficient, and compliant patient care., • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based research., • Escalate safety hazards and ensure compliance with institutional protocols., • Perform charge nurse duties as assigned., • Coordinate supply usage and inventory management., • Report resource deficits to nursing leadership., • Document care accurately and comply with regulatory standards., • Support colleagues, patients, and families in the care environment., • Pursue clinical competence and professional growth., • Project a professional image and communicate effectively., • Participate in specialty councils, committees, and unit initiatives.Qualifications:, • Licensure: Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license., • Certifications: BLS, ACLS required., • Experience:, • Minimum 2 years RN experience, including 2 years in critical care/telemetry., • 1 year travel nurse experience preferred for travel positions., • EPIC experience highly preferred., • Education:, • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred., • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered with relevant experience or ongoing BSN enrollment.Additional Information:, • Average Unit Census: 8 patients Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
