Job Description Overview: Manage all aspects of receiving, warehouse storage, shipping and dispatch of finished products, requisitioning of all materials and scheduling of transport drivers for a 24-hour 7-day operation in Newark. Presence Expectations: · Presence in the Facility, on average 50 hours per week, spanning a minimum 5 work days per week; (Temporary Work Hours Tuesday to Saturday to lead the Sanitation Crew) · “On the (Production & Warehouse) Floor” Presence a minimum 50% of the Time in the Bakery. · “Off Hour” Presence (outside M-F 8:00-18:00) required routinely, with at least two ‘on the floor’ visit per Bakery per month spanning into the night hours of the Night Shift; · “Weekend” Presence, a minimum two ‘on the floor’ visit per Bakery per month, assuming the Bakery is operating during weekends. Primary Responsibilities · Ensure the receiving either in house or at the warehouse, of all incoming bulk flour, ingredients, packaging materials, bakery supplies and equipment, this is to be done in accordance with SQF and HACCP standards. · Ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule. · Ensure proper documentation by maintaining Receiving Log and that all necessary paperwork for inbound and outbound trucks is completed. · Ensure proper storage and rotation of inventory by maintaining proper dating of incoming items and using them on a FIFO basis. · Ensure an accurate inventory of all ingredients and wrapping materials on a weekly basis. · Ensure the plant is supplied with the proper materials and liaison with the production department to accurately determine the plants daily needs. · Ensure product is dispatched to drivers / customers on a timely basis providing accurate documentation for billing. · Ensure all trucks are loaded properly, that loads are counted and that bills of lading or receipts are signed off by our drivers. · Ensure drivers are scheduled and all runs are covered every day. · Ensure runs are scheduled in a cost- effective manor to avoid unnecessary salary expenditure. · Ensure all trucks are serviced properly maintains a service log with the leasing company. · Ensure all KPI’s and Metrics are reported and met. · Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock. · Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees. · Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner. Secondary Responsibilities · Ensure housekeeping of all storage areas and warehouse. · Assist in special projects when use of the Forklift is essential. · Perform data entry duties as needed. · Provide backup for all positions including drivers. · Able to lift minimum 30lbs as needed. • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently., • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to share best practices and improve ways of working. · Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads. • All other Responsibilities as assigned.Company DescriptionDamascus Bakeries, home to the Original Pita, serves delicious satisfaction through our line of artisanal flat breads.
