Job Description Director of Intake Monsey, NY / Brooklyn, NY (Split Location) $130K–$150K (DOE) Industry: Home Care / Healthcare Services Position Overview A rapidly growing home care organization is seeking a Director of Intake to lead and scale its patient onboarding function. This is a critical leadership role overseeing the intake department, managing team performance, and building intake operations across both Muncie and Brooklyn. The ideal candidate is a hands-on people manager with strong onboarding and intake process experience—preferably in home care or healthcare—who can motivate, assess, and develop a growing team while collaborating closely with senior leadership. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management • Lead and manage the Intake team (initially ~5 staff, with planned growth across Muncie and Brooklyn)., • Assess performance, motivate team members, and hold staff accountable to KPIs and service standards., • Serve as an escalation point for intake-related staff and client issues., • Participate in leadership meetings and collaborate with cross-functional directors. Intake & Onboarding Operations • Oversee the full patient/client onboarding process, including eligibility screening, questionnaires, service explanations, and intake workflows., • Ensure intake processes are efficient, compliant, and scalable across multiple locations., • Train, coach, and develop intake staff on best practices and procedures., • Partner with other departments (coordination, clinical, operations) to ensure seamless onboarding and service initiation. Growth & Expansion • Build and expand intake operations in Brooklyn while maintaining strong oversight of the Muncie team., • Maintain visibility with both teams through a hybrid presence (travel between sites required)., • Implement process improvements and operational enhancements as the organization scales. Qualifications & Experience Required • 3+ years of people management experience (non-negotiable), • Experience managing an intake, onboarding, or client onboarding function, • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills, • Ability to assess performance, coach staff, and manage escalations, • Experience working cross-functionally with senior leadership Strongly Preferred (Priority Order) 1. Intake leadership experience in home care, 2. Intake leadership in healthcare (ABA, behavioral health, clinical services, etc.), 3. Intake/onboarding leadership in human services (housing, social services, case management), 4. Client onboarding leadership in banking, financial services, or professional services Location & Work Structure • Candidates may be based in Monsey or Brooklyn, • If based in Muncie: travel to Brooklyn periodically (1–2x/month; flexible), • If based in Brooklyn: travel to Muncie ~2x/week on an ongoing basis, • Transportation support available if needed Email resume to:
