Job DescriptionDescription: Healthy Kids Programs is seeking Pre-Kindergarten Teachers for three (3) classrooms at Beekman Elementary School, Poughquag, NY. Location: Beekman Elementary School, Poughquag, NY Pay: $38,500.00 – $44,000.00 per year (based on qualifications and experience) Job Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 2:15 PM, following the Arlington Central School District 2025–2026 calendar Featured Benefit: Employer-Paid Childcare Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–13) enrolled in program on the days and during the hours you work. This role provides four-year-olds with a high-quality early learning experience that builds a strong foundation for Kindergarten. The ideal candidate is creative, culturally responsive, and passionate about early childhood development, with experience in early literacy, multi-disciplinary approaches, and strategies for diverse learners. This position emphasizes child-centered learning, literacy and numeracy development, social-emotional growth, and collaboration with colleagues and families. Key Responsibilities • Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate Pre-K program aligned with UPK School District requirements, • Design and teach culturally responsive lessons, • Assess, track, and provide timely feedback on student progress and development, • Use positive, age-appropriate guidance strategies, • Build strong relationships with staff and families through professional communication and engagement, • Collaborate with teacher assistants and other team members, • Design classroom environments following ECERS (Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale), • Develop literacy and math-focused activities using the Creative Curriculum, • Current NYS teaching certificate valid for service in the early childhood grades, • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) Additional Qualifications • You have medical clearance to perform all job duties and are free from communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB)., • You bring a warm, friendly, and positive attitude, with strong interpersonal skills when working with children, parents, and team members. You are professional, dependable, and punctual., • You are able to meet the physical demands of the role, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.
