Pay Range: $26.00 to $32.50 hourly All Shifts available The Lead Pastry Cook plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional, high-quality bakery and dessert offerings across all outlets, blending creativity with precision and leadership. This position is responsible for preparing and overseeing a wide variety of pastry items, ensuring consistency, freshness, and strict adherence to recipes while actively managing food costs and minimizing waste. With a strong commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence, the Lead Pastry Cook maintains inventory, monitors product quality, and leads by example in upholding bakery standards. Additionally, this role supports team training and development, contributes innovative menu ideas, and drives continuous improvement to elevate the overall guest experience. What Does a Lead Pastry Cook Do? • Attempts to control food costs; throw away, etc., • Demonstrates the responsibility to prepare various bakery items for all related outlets: Tower, Lodge, Rodizio, Shenendoah, and Fine Dining outlets events with strong attention to detail., • Always maintains constant awareness pertaining to all food product within specified restaurant dessert coolers, and ensures that food items are properly rotated to maintain freshness., • Continually assists in maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the kitchen and bakery areas., • Always takes a proactive approach in ensuring that food handling/quality procedures are accurately and continuously followed and in accordance with F&B procedures., • Continually demonstrates knowledge and exceptional safety standards when operating various kitchen/bakery equipment., • Always maintains a thorough knowledge of all kitchen inventory and tracks supplies and food items to ensure appropriate quantity and quality of product., • Effectively assists in training all personnel in the proper performance of all job duties and Bakery standards and procedures. Provides appropriate feedback and re-trains as necessary ensuring that employees continually apply training techniques., • Continually ensures that Baker's standards are maintained., • Continually takes a pro-active approach in developing Baker standards and reports any new or required standards to the Manager/Supervisor., • Ability to convert and proportion recipes to suit product requirements., • Continually prepares various bakery items to meet the needs of Turning Stone's guests., • Proactively produces future menu items for review by Executives., • Assists with controlling food cost by ensuring proper management of product waste., • Eliminates waste of product by using menu mix and specials to ensure food items are used to full potential.
