Job DescriptionPsychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse (APN/APRN/PMHNP). Total Wellness Center - Montclair, NJ is an in-person and telehealth outpatient Behavioral health practice that is currently seeking a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse (APN, APRN, PMHNP) to work in our practice, mostly comprised by adult-base, stable population. Some of the services include: • Providing psychiatric evaluation of each person referred and, in accordance with the law, prescribing psychiatric medications under the supervision of the CIS psychiatrist., • Prescribing medication using best practices., • Collecting co-payments. Education, Licensing and Credentialing: • Masters degree in nursing., • Current APN license in the State of New Jersey with a license number to practice in New Jersey. Current Nurse Practitioner Certification, Current NRN license in the State of NJ. The NP must have a DEA number from the USDEA to prescribe Schedule II-V controlled substances., • Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center(ANCC) in one of the following areas: (1) Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental HealthNursing, or (2) Clinical Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric &Mental Health Nursing, or (3) Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, or (4) Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner; or(5) Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Certification. Proficiency: • Operate a personal computer and navigate in order to access e-mail, electronic calendars and other basic office support., • Provide advanced treatment to patients with psychiatric disorders, substance abuse problems and medical-mental conditions., • To assess patients' needs, diagnose patients with mental illnesses, prescribe and administer medications, develop patient treatment plans, and file medical reports.

Job Description The Mental Health Association is seeking a Program Director for our Center for Behavioral Health and Riskin Children's Center programs, operating out of our Montclair office. Center for Behavioral Health (CBH) provides individual counseling to treat anxiety, depression, traumatic stress reactions, bipolar disorder, bereavement, and adjustment disorders, stress related health problems, and much more. Psychiatric services including evaluation, consultation, and ongoing medication management are also available for clients. The Riskin Children’s Center (RCC) provides comprehensive, accessible, and culturally appropriate mental health services for children and teens ages 6-18. We provide strength-based individual and family counseling to treat depression, anxiety, grief and loss, post-traumatic stress disorder, oppositional behaviors, and difficulties with attention, behavior, or peer relationships. RCC also provides psychoeducational groups and a full range of psychiatric services including evaluation, consultation, and ongoing medication management as a complement to psychotherapy services. Qualifications: • A Master’s Degree in a mental health discipline and a professional license are required, LCSW is preferred., • Must also have at least five years of experience in mental health services and two years of supervisory experience., • Leadership and team-building skills to inspire staff energy and creativity and develop a milieu of mutual respect and teamwork., • The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays to provide 24 hour/crisis availability. Responsibilities: • Responsible for the overall daily operations of CBH and RCC including clinical, marketing and financial operations., • The hiring of staff and direct supervision of performance outcomes., • Provide clinical supervision to all non-fully licensed staff including LSWs/LACs/interns., • Oversee and monitor billing procedures for Medicaid, Medicare, MCOs, and all other insurance providers as well as maintaining an acute awareness of payment status of claims., • In consult with the Medical Director, Psychiatrists and/or Advance Nurse Practitioners, oversee and monitor the department’s clinical staff in providing individual, group and family treatment., • Monitors compliance of cultural competence, recovery-orientated services, and evidenced based practices., • Provide direct clinical services which include clinical intake and assessment, and treatment., • Develop and implement performance improvement measures and monitor outcomes for CBH and RCC programs. Oversee utilization reviews and quality assurance activities., • Maintenance and analysis of statistical information and reports to State of New Jersey oversight organizations., • Monitor and review documentation in the electronic clinical record to verify compliance and accuracy., • Ensure license and accreditation obligations for CN&L, CARF, and other regulatory bodies., • Administrative oversight of Part-time psychiatrists/APN., • Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr. Director of Clinical Services.
