Key Responsibilities • Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing medication management for adult and/or adolescent clients., • Lead and mentor the psychiatric team, ensuring consistent, high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care., • Integrate the medical and psychiatric care in collaboration with nursing and medical staff, ensuring holistic treatment that attends to both body and mind., • Develop and oversee behavioral protocols based on collaboration, patient strengths, and a developmental model—anchored in a deep understanding of the underlying drivers of behaviors rather than surface-level control or compliance., • Work closely with insurance payors to navigate medical necessity criteria, authorization processes, and secure single case agreements when needed to support access to care., • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case formulation meetings, and leadership discussions to guide clinical direction., • Collaborate with the executive team on program development, continuous quality improvement, and staff education., • Represent the medical leadership in communications with families, referring clinicians, and professional partners.Qualifications, • M.D. or D.O. with board certification in Psychiatry (child/adolescent psychiatry training a plus) and/or willingness and skill to work with adolescents with supervision by a BC Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist., • Active or eligible Florida medical license.
