Position Summary: The Supply Planner ensures timely availability of raw materials, packaging components, and supplies to support production of dietary supplements and related products. This role balances demand and supply while maintaining inventory accuracy, working closely with procurement, production, quality, and supplier partners to meet manufacturing schedules and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities • Develop and manage material requirements plans aligned with production schedules and sales forecasts., • Coordinate ordering and delivery of raw materials (e.g., active ingredients, excipients), packaging components (e.g., bottles, labels), and other supplies., • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet production needs while minimizing excess and obsolescence, with attention to shelf life and lot tracking., • Timely communication of issues related to the achievement of the production schedule, • Work closely with procurement to manage supplier relationships, delivery schedules, and material lead times., • Collaborate with production, quality, and warehouse teams to ensure material readiness and resolve issues affecting manufacturing., • Maintain MRP/ERP data accuracy, including lead times, lot numbers, expiration dates, and minimum stock levels., • Support product launches and formulation changes by ensuring availability of required materials., • Track key KPIs (e.g., inventory turns, material shortages, supplier on-time delivery)., • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field or equivalent experience., • 3+ years of materials planning or supply chain experience in the supplement, food, or pharmaceutical industry., • Strong understanding of cGMP, FDA, and quality compliance as it relates to material handling in supplements manufacturing., • Proficient with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics)., • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills., • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment., • APICS/CPIM certification, preferred.
