Job DescriptionJob Title: Medical Secretary Location: Edison, NJ 08817 Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Duration: 26 Weeks Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support within a healthcare setting. This role supports medical staff leadership and plays a key role in managing departmental functions, meetings, and patient-facing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and experience in a clinical or medical office environment. Key Responsibilities • Answer incoming calls, respond to emails, and manage messages, faxes, and mail distribution, • Schedule, confirm, and follow up on patient appointments, including rescheduling missed visits, • Perform patient check-in/check-out and maintain organized and welcoming common areas, • Verify medical and dental benefits and assist with patient documentation, • Create and maintain electronic medical records using systems such as Epic and Dentrix, • Scan and upload documents, and manage lab case check-ins, • Coordinate meetings including room scheduling, agenda preparation, and distribution of notices, • Attend meetings as required, prepare and distribute minutes within one week, and track follow-ups, • Develop and maintain on-call schedules and communicate updates effectively, • Prepare correspondence, reports, and documentation in a timely manner, • Perform clerical tasks including filing, copying, and supply management, • Provide administrative support for residency programs and departmental initiatives, • Assist with special projects and provide backup support to other administrative staffRequired Qualifications, • High school diploma or equivalent, • Minimum 2 years of administrative or secretarial experience (4+ years preferred), • Proficiency in Google Workspace and standard office software, • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skillsPreferred Qualifications, • Experience with Epic and Dentrix systems, • Prior experience in a hospital, healthcare, or oral surgery setting, • Coursework in medical terminology, • Formal training in secretarial or administrative studies For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
