We’re looking for energetic, reliable team members who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are excited to grow within hospitality. This is a cross-trained position, meaning all team members are expected to both serve and bartend. While the role may begin on the floor, you will be trained behind the bar and must be comfortable working in both capacities. No prior bartending experience is required—we provide hands-on training. You must be at least 18 years old for this position. ✨ What You’ll Do Service & Guest Experience - Provide warm, attentive, and professional service from greeting to check-out - Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS - Guide guests through the menu and make confident recommendations - Deliver food and drinks efficiently while maintaining strong table awareness - Upsell menu items, margaritas, and premium tequila selections Bartending & Cross-Training - Learn cocktail preparation and execute drink builds with consistency - Create visually appealing, high-quality margaritas - Work behind the bar once trained, supporting overall service flow - Follow proper garnishing and presentation standards Operations & Teamwork - Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked section and bar area - Follow all service systems, standards, and workflows - Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, teammates, and management - Contribute to a positive, accountable team environment Creative Contribution (Required) - Submit original ideas for monthly seasonal margarita menus - Participate in Margarita Lab Week tastings and provide feedback - Learn and confidently sell seasonal drink features ✅ What We’re Looking For - Positive, confident, and dependable team players - Strong communication and multitasking abilities - Ability to stay composed in a high-volume environment - Willingness to be fully cross-trained (server + bartender) - Interest in hospitality, cocktails, and guest experience - Professional, polished, guest-focused demeanor - Strong work ethic, punctuality, and accountability - Flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays required) - Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods Preferred (not required): - Prior serving or hospitality experience - NYC Food Protection Certificate or TIPS Certification (or willingness to obtain) 💥 Why Work With Us - Supportive, team-oriented management - High-volume environment with strong earning potential - Hands-on training in both serving and bartending - Opportunities for growth and increased responsibility - Be part of a creative, evolving concept (seasonal menus, events, marketing) - Fun, fast-paced atmosphere with a strong regular clientele - A culture that values accountability, energy, and execution 📋 Certifications (Required) - Food Protection Certificate (NYC) - TIPS Certification (Alcohol Awareness) 👉 Must be obtained within 90 days of hire 👉 Employees who do not meet certification requirements will not be scheduled 📸 Additional Responsibilities Content creation is part of our daily workflow and brand experience. Job Summary: Blue Anchor is seeking a versatile Server/Bartender with 2-3 years of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant. Responsibilities: Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming experience. Take orders, serve food and drinks, and ensure guest satisfaction. Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, and wine with accuracy and efficiency. Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and beverage pairings to make informed recommendations. Monitor bar inventory, restock supplies, and uphold cleanliness and safety standards. Assist with table service when needed, including refilling drinks, clearing plates, and attending to guest requests. Handle cash and credit transactions using our POS system (Toast). Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor laws. Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team for seamless service. Uphold Blue Anchor’s high standards of hospitality and customer service at all times. Requirements: 2-3 years of experience as a bartender and/or server in a high-volume restaurant. Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, beer, and wine. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Familiarity with POS systems like Toast is a plus.
