The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of facility electrical & mechanical equipment. This position performs installation, monitoring, maintenance, repair, and/or design modification of high-tech distributed manufacturing and industrial process control systems. Job Type: Full-time, 4x10 schedule. Flexibility to switch shifts, work overtime and weekends as needed Responsibilities • Repair, replace and install sensors, actuators, transformers, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, electric eyes, conduit systems, switches, defective writing, etc., • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace PLCs, Servo and Frequency Drives, and related electronic hardware, • Disassembles, inspects, reassembles, troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces malfunctioning parts or equipment (motors, switches, sensors, input /output boards, controllers servos, gears, sprockets chains, knives, etc. using test equipment, • As needed, perform equipment lubrication, PM’s, and report equipment conditions to Maintenance Manager, • Use blueprints and wiring diagrams to plan and execute electrical repairs and installations, • Make proper use of tools such as hacksaws, pipe benders, pipe threaders, hammers, and screwdrivers, splice wires and install conduit, panel boards, switch boxes, motors and drives, and other electrical equipment, • May test or recommend new equipment in the electronic field, staying well-informed of the latest state-of-the-art technology, • Cleans lubricates and adjusts guides, flap tuckers, sealing jaws, sensors, servos, and timing for process systems of packaging equipment to improve efficiency, quality, or operation, • Performs routine preventive maintenance procedures as per schedule, • Installs change parts (pockets, flap tuckers, film folding shoulders, etc.) on our production machinery, • Provide technical expertise to train and support production and create an environment of continuous learning, • Maintain housekeeping and sanitation of work area and equipment, • Use of Our-Home computer systems., • Train others on job tasks of this role, • Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Requirements • Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 5 years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Proficiency in electrical skills: PLC programming, electrical circuits, schematics, servo motors, and familiarity with low voltage and 460/220 3 PH wiring., • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, • and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with groups or employees of the organization., • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs., • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
