Job Description Who We Are: CAMBA is a community of staff, volunteers, clients, donors, neighbors and partners who work together to build an inclusive New York City, where all children and adults have access to the resources and supports, they need to thrive. We take a comprehensive approach by offering more than 180 integrated programs in: Education & Youth Development, Family Support, Job Training & Employment Support Services, Health, Housing, and Legal Services. We reach almost 80,000 individuals and families, including almost 13,000 youth. CAMBA serves a diverse cross section of New Yorkers from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. More than half of our clients are immigrants and refugees from around the globe. Over 85% of our families are living in poverty, reflecting the challenges faced by nearly 1.7 million New Yorkers today. CAMBA operates 6 single adult shelters and 6 family shelters and one drop in center. Each shelter offers clients a supportive, structured therapeutic, safe, and drug-free facility. Homeless (often mentally-ill and substance-abusing) men and women are provided with comprehensive services to stabilize their condition in order to successfully transition into to permanent and/or supported housing. CAMBA’s Evergreen Residence is funded by New York City Department of Homeless Services and offers families a supportive, structured therapeutic, safe, and drug-free facility. It provides comprehensive case management services to 51 families in a transitional residence program for homeless families. The five story facility has rooms of various sizes, common areas and provides on-site security and social services to stabilize their condition in order to successfully transition into to permanent housing. Position: Director of Social Services Reports To: Vice President Location: 1144 Evergreen Avenue, Bronx, NY 10468 What The Director of Social Services Does: • Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality., • Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol & Procedures., • Comply with any and all Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy polices intended to protect the security and privacy of individually identifiable health information., • Ensure that newly admitted clients receive social service intake with 48 hours of assignment to case manager., • Monitor and track client intakes and move-outs utilizing DHS rosters to update the Kings Inn Master roster daily., • Oversee all ACS cases and ensure that monthly tracking forms are completed and submitted to DHS., • Review and update ACS client rosters., • Meet with community agencies to assist with high risk case conferences as needed., • Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality., • Communicate with peers in other CAMBA programs on issues related to client progress., • Understand all aspects of contract requirements and communicates this understanding to staff., • Supervise a minimum of four direct reporting staff and their subordinates to ensure that clients complete tasks (such as gaining entitlements, employment and housing options)., • Work with staff to set and achieve realistic monthly performance targets in accordance with contract requirements (such as completing ILPs, inspections, monitoring families with children age 0-24 months, ACS, LTS families and housing placements)., • Teach, coach and work with direct staff regarding how to interact with and/or engage clients to maintain entitlements to become eligible for housing subsidies., • Conduct weekly client progress reviews with staff., • Conduct periodic internal chart reviews and implement Quality Assurance measures as needed to ensure quality service delivery to clients., • Respond to critical incidences that require immediate attention., • Access client data using various tracking and program databases (i.e. - Client Tracking System (CTS), New York City Way, 4002 System)., • Prepare contract reports and statistical information for both CAMBA management and funder use., • Assist in the analysis of program and demographic data to make programmatic improvements., • Organize onsite and offsite training opportunities for professional development of staff., • Assist the Senior Program Manager in providing oversight for all aspects of the program in his/her absence., • Confer with the Senior Program Manager, and/or other CAMBA management staff as needed regarding programmatic and personnel issues., • Attend staff/funder/outside agency meetings as requested., • Facilitate weekly meetings with social service staff to address client issues and progress., • Review and sign time sheets., • Prepare performance appraisals for direct reporting staff., • May develop appropriate marketing material and marketing/outreach strategies for the program., • May network both within and outside CAMBA to expand client recruitment and opportunities for client success., • May have direct client service/program responsibilities in addition to the above., • Two years of relevant experience. Job Description About the Role The FFT Therapist provides FFT (Functional Family Therapy) virtually, to a maximum of 10 voluntarily participating families at a time who reside in NYC. The target population of young adults (16-25 years old), who are referred to us after an arrest. Rising Ground is participating in a pilot program to offer FFT to families and young people who might otherwise find themselves incarcerated without this alternative. FFT is an evidence-based model which is home-based, intensive, family therapy. The FFT Therapist participates in all FFT training and consultation activities, and program reviews. In addition to providing Family Therapy, the FFT Therapist will collaborate with other service providers, including but not limited to the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) and New York City Criminal Justice Agency (CJA). The FFT Therapist is required to complete all FFT documentation requirements, including meeting appropriate therapeutic and engagement requirements and assessing for family safety and risk. What You’ll Do • Provide virtual and/or home-based clinical treatment with adherence to the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model., • Participate in engagement efforts for referred families., • Conduct assessment including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and developing an analysis of the fit problem behaviors within the ecological context., • Engage youth, primary caregiver, and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement., • Implement a problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, outcome review and strategy revision procedure using the FFT model’s Analytic Process., • Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with FFT model Analytic Process. Job Description About the Role The Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) of Rising Ground understands the importance of removing barriers to care and providing trauma-informed services. Through this dedication, the TRC aims to transform services for survivors of violent crime. Rising Ground’s TRC is designed to help victims of violent crimes overcome barriers to accessing mental health treatment, health care, and legal resources in the acute aftermath of trauma. The TRC supports recent victims of violent crime, including survivors of physical assault, sexual assault, gunshot wounds, stabbings, domestic violence and human trafficking. The Trauma Recovery Center facilitates healing for survivors of trauma, violence, and loss through an innovative model that blends comprehensive care, advocacy and outreach. The Clinical Social Worker/Therapist of the Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) will provide clinical intakes, assessments, planning and implementing individual and group psychotherapy, assertive outreach, and clinical case management services, using evidence-based practices that are effective for the service population. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for social justice and anti-oppressive practice, ample experience providing clinical services to survivors of trauma, and a desire to work collaboratively with a team of creative and committed advocates. What You’ll Do Clinical Intervention, Consultation, Psychotherapy, Liaison, Outreach and Case Management: • Conducts clinical intakes of new clients using a trauma-informed approach and identifies service needs when appropriate. Both seek to increase awareness of combination prevention – especially biomedical interventions like pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) – and recruit clients into a multi-pronged intervention. Job Description Therapist - Counseling Center - 60% Full-Time (21 hours per week) Summary: The Trauma Therapist position is 60% of a full-time position (21 hours per week) and is a hybrid position with 11 hours onsite and 10 hours remote. Onsite hours include 4 hours every Saturday and one shift from 12:00 to 8:00 during the week. This is an excellent position for clinicians in need of licensing hours and who wish to become experts in several evidence-based treatments for survivors of all ages of interpersonal violence. The Safe Horizon Counseling Center (SHCC) is a New York State-licensed outpatient mental health clinic that specializes, exclusively, in the trauma-focused treatment of child and adult survivors of interpersonal violence and other forms of abuse. SHCC also functions as the mental health “hub” of Safe Horizon, the largest crime victim’s assistance agency in the country. Our main clinic is located at 41 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, and we operate two satellites that are co-located at other Safe Horizon programs. Nearly half of SHCC’s clients are referred by one of Safe Horizon’s vast arrays of programs. The Trauma Therapist will receive paid training and supervision in a variety of evidence-based treatments for trauma survivors, and the client hours meet New York State’s experience requirements for LCSW licensure.
