Job DescriptionJob Title: Parts Clerk Job Description This position is responsible for providing support to the Installation Technicians on the shop floor through researching, procuring, and distributing production parts and equipment. The Parts Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate supply of parts, maintaining inventory layout, planning, and management alongside Material Handlers. Additionally, this role involves fulfilling customer parts orders and managing overall inventory systems. Responsibilities • Monitor Kanban system for replenishment., • Manage overall inventory in the Parts Room., • Respond to the flag system for visual management., • Manage supplier V.M.I., • Fulfill internal and external customer parts orders., • Conduct check-in procedures upon arrival and ensure delivery tickets and manual binders accompany trucks upon departure., • Research missing parts/components., • Enter data into the ERP system., • Manage annual physical inventory., • Provide direction for Material Handlers., • Participate in company Kaizen events and facility 5S initiatives., • Manage staging of parts and equipment for upcoming projects.Essential Skills, • Technological proficiency with TCM software (ERP), Micro-tool (Web Based), Excel, and Microsoft Office products., • Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and follow-up skills., • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills., • Ability to operate a lift truck confidently.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Knowledge of inventory control and general labor practices. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 4:30 pm, with optional volunteer opportunities on Saturdays for additional pay. Attendance is crucial, especially in the first 60 days, with strict policies against no-call no-show incidents. The facility promotes a positive culture and safety practices, with a team structure encompassing various bays such as heavy fabrication, hydraulic, and electrical. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Watertown, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
