A significant number of individuals in the NYC jail system will receive care on the mental health service. The service strives to provide safe, holistic and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for the diverse range of mental health issues that face the population, from serious mental illness to the natural struggles that accompany incarceration. The service provides some of the most comprehensive and unique treatment modalities in the country, including specialty housing units for individuals with serious mental illness, a 24-hour on-call psychiatric service, robust creative arts programming, clinics in each of the facilities, substance use treatment, medication assisted treatment (MAT), integrated re-entry services that includes alternatives to incarceration, and relationships with multiple training institutions throughout the city. Responsibilities: Under the supervision of a Senior/Supervising Psychiatrist in the Mental Health Service of CHS, this position requires the provision of high quality, team-based psychiatric services including psychopharmacologic interventions, for individuals incarcerated in the New York City jail system. Each of the facilities in the jail system has unique patient population and environmental characteristics; each psychiatrist will be matched with the population that most closely meets their clinical expertise, desired work location and schedule and the clinical needs of the service. Experience working in correctional settings is not required, however the ability to work closely and effectively with multiple other disciplines, including security staff, is critical. The Quality Assurance (QA) Radiological Technologist position encompasses responsible, administrative and clinical activity of varying degrees of latitude. Clinical level judgement is needed in the daily supervision of radiological functions and patient care, and departmental projects. Responsibilities include: • Review exam orders, consult with radiologist, schedule patients and arrange for transportation as indicated., • Identify patient and document all information pertinent to final report in the RIS and on images (PACS)., • Prepare all patients (infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric) for radiological procedures requested by the clinician. PURPOSE: The Jewish Board's Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate, high quality, evidence-based services to individuals and families in the communities we serve. Our staff uses a culturally competent, person centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning, to instill hope, and to strengthen resiliency. Our programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities in our neighborhoods while also celebrating the strengths and resilience of our communities. Our children's community residences are single site residence's that provide a group living for eight children and/or adolescents. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Case Manager works with children and adolescents in the community residence and is responsible for the supervision, care and skill building related to the youth's individual service and treatment plans. Job Description Supervising Clinical Forensic Specialist - Queens Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Clinical and Forensic Services, the Supervising Clinical Forensic Specialist is responsible for the supervision of Clinical Forensic Specialists and for the provision of direct forensic, mental health and victim advocacy and support services to clients at the Child Advocacy Center. The Supervising Clinical Forensic Specialist supports the Clinical and Senior Directors in coordinating CAC service provision, ensuring adequate program coverage, and providing guidance, direction and clinical expertise to a team of Clinical Forensic Specialists and the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). Essential Job Functions: • Provides direct individual clinical, administrative and observational supervision to a team of three or more Clinical Forensic Specialists in accordance with the CAC’s quality supervision plan;, • Integrates a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, using an anti-oppressive lens, into all client practice and supervision of staff, and coaches staff to ensure all client practice reflects this approach;, • Collaborates with the Director of Clinical and Forensic Services, Multidisciplinary Team Coordinators and the Family Advocates overseeing the proper completion and submission of OVS claim applications and ECAP applications;, • Represents Safe Horizon at client conferences facilitated by ACS, Foster Care Agencies and/or Preventive Agencies to ensure the coordination of mental health, victim advocacy, medical and forensic services through the CAC;, • Collaborates with the Clinical and Senior Directors in implementing CAC quality improvement initiatives relating to forensic interviews, CCP, CCFE, and CFTSI;, • Conducts forensic interviews;, • Provides trauma focused intervention and support to child victims and their on-offending family members;, • Collaborates with the Clinical and Senior Directors in the preparation and presentation of cases for expedited case review and/or case review meetings with the MDT and actively participates in same;, • Collaborates with the Clinical and Senior Directors in the collection and review of data in REDCAP and CMS, and ensures timely and accurate data entry by the Clinical Forensic Specialists;, • Provides consultation to the MDT in areas of CAC best practice, forensic interviewing of children, client engagement, case management, and clinical and service delivery methods;, • Assists the Senior Director with program administration, statistical reporting and program enhancement and development;, • Participates in the recruitment, hiring and orienting of new staff;, • Supervises the activities of graduate interns as needed; Clinical Forensic Specialist Qualifications: • A Master’s Degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field., • LMSW or MHC-LP is preferred., • Prior clinical supervision experience is required., • Demonstrated appreciation for the CAC multidisciplinary team program model and alignment with Safe Horizon’s anti-racism work, • Sound knowledge of child trauma, child development and issues relating to victimization., • Demonstrated experience working with children and families impacted by abuse and trauma is preferred.
