Job Description Position: Part-Time Consulting Dental Director (Administrative/Consulting) Location: Northern Medical Center, 14 Jason Place, Middletown, NY 10940 Schedule: Flexible, approximately 4-5 hours per month (remote-friendly options possible) Northern Medical Center is seeking a qualified General Dentist to serve as our Consulting Dental Director in support of our New York State Article 28 limited-review application to establish a dental service/clinic within our existing Ambulatory & Treatment Center. This is a unique, temporary, part-time administrative consulting opportunity focused on regulatory compliance, policy development, and preparation for dental service approval and launch. No direct patient care is required. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the designated Consulting Dental Director for the Article 28 limited-review application process., • Collaborate on developing and reviewing the required operating manual and essential policies/protocols, including but not limited to:, • Clinical protocols (infection control, informed consent, treatment planning, medical necessity, quality assurance/improvement)., • Administrative procedures (billing/coding, medical records management, patient scheduling, patient rights and responsibilities)., • Staff credentialing, privileging, and oversight., • Emergency/after-hours care, adverse event reporting, and malpractice prevention., • Environmental health, safety, and compliance standards per NYS DOH regulations., • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental program., • Active, unrestricted New York State dental license in good standing., • Experience in administrative, regulatory, compliance, or leadership roles in dental settings (Article 28 clinic experience or familiarity with NYS DOH protocols strongly preferred)., • Strong knowledge of dental regulations, policies, and procedures in ambulatory/health center environments.
