Job Description Summary We are seeking a reliable, safety‐driven CDL Driver (Class A/Class C) to transport non‐hazardous, food‐grade goods—including ingredients, flavor concentrates, and finished products—using tractor‐trailers, straight trucks, and stake bed trucks. This role supports facility transfers and company deliveries, ensuring food safety standards. Key Responsibilities • Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, stake bed truck and straight trucks, for local deliveries., • Responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW)., • Transport non-hazardous, food-grade materials such as ingredients, flavor concentrates, and finished goods., • Adhere to company policies regarding workplace safety, attendance, and conduct., • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance., • Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery records, and shipping documentation in accordance with DOT and company policies., • Ensure proper load securement and cleanliness of transport equipment to meet GMP and food safety standards., • Coordinate with Shipping teams to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries., • Follow all FMCSA, DOT, and company safety protocols, including ELD usage when applicable, • Represent the company professionally during customer interactions and while on the road, • Report any vehicle issues, delays, or incidents promptly to supervisors, • Assist with loading and unloading using pallet jacks, liftgates, or hand trucks as needed., • Be able to read maps and follow directions to a location., • Forklift certification., • Working knowledge of GMP, FDA, or FSMA transportation regulations., • Experience with LTL and FTL freight in a food manufacturing or distribution setting., • Experience with backhauls or returnable container systems., • Valid CDL Class A and C license., • Have a high school diploma or equivalent., • At least 10 years of driving experience and 21 years old driving interstate (across state lines)., • Must have a clean driving history record., • Pass a DOT medical exam., • Follow FMCSA regulations for vehicle inspections, load securement and safety., • Must be able to pass a DOT-compliant pre-employment drug test and participate in ongoing testing as required by federal regulations, including random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty, and follow-up testing., • Previous experience in truck driving, • Ability to handle physical workload, • Strong work ethic Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt Company DescriptionAt Nature’s Flavors, we’re crafting more than just incredible taste — we’re creating a better way to live.
