Job Purpose The Project Manager (PM) is a critical driver of delivery excellence within Opus Inspection's Enterprise PMO. This role owns end-to-end project execution across complex, cross-functional areas spanning engineering, IT, operations, and customer-facing teams. The PM is accountable for outcomes and is expected to lead with clarity, act with urgency, and influence stakeholders at every level of the organization without relying solely on positional authority. The right person for this role leads from the front. They build deep, trusted partnerships across every team they work with, creating a collaborative environment where people are aligned, motivated, and know what success looks like. At the same time, they maintain an unwavering eye on plan health, identifying misalignments early, escalating without hesitation, and driving corrective action before small problems become big ones. They don't wait for permission to raise concern or solve a problem. They move to drive resolution. As Opus continues to expand its use of AI-enabled tools and integrated platforms (including Broadcom Clarity and Azure DevOps), the PM will be a champion for modern ways of working: leveraging data, automation, and AI to drive smarter decisions, faster delivery, and measurable value for our teams and customers. Duties & Responsibilities Project Delivery & Ownership • Own the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering through delivery and closeout and is accountable for outcomes at every phase., • Champion and drive adherence to the Opus New Project Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring each project obtains the right approvals at the right time. Approval gate discipline is a non-negotiable, not an administrative formality., • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, budget, risk register, and resource plans that align customer needs with business goals., • Maintain an active, real-time pulse on project health by tracking milestones, risks, and budget with discipline and providing clear, timely reporting to the project sponsor, stakeholders, and the PMO Leader., • Identify misalignment the moment it appears. Escalate early and without hesitation, bringing solutions alongside problems, and own the corrective action through to resolution., • Understand and enforce the distinction between change notification and change approval. Informing stakeholders of a potential change is never authorization to proceed all scope, budget, or timeline adjustments require documented approval through formal change control before any work begins., • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, internal and external, communicating proactively, clearly, and with appropriate frequency., • Build genuine, trusted partnerships with stakeholders at every level, from engineers to executives, investing in relationships as a core part of the job, not an afterthought., • Influence outcomes and drive alignment across cross-functional teams through credibility, preparation, and consistent follow-through, earning trust rather than demanding compliance., • Communicate effectively upward to senior leadership and the PMO Leader, translating complex technical information into clear business context with honesty and confidence., • Lead collaboratively across engineering, IT, business operations, and vendor teams, creating shared ownership, clear accountability, and a team environment where people want to deliver their best work., • Maintain a close, productive working relationship with the Operations Program Manager, who typically serves as the project sponsor, keeping them informed, aligned, and engaged as the face of the organization to the customer., • Operate within clear authority boundaries: own and protect project scope but defer all task-level technical decisions, including designs, implementation guidance, and technical direction to the appropriate functional teams., • Partner closely with the PMO Leader and peer PMs to optimize resource allocation and capacity planning, raising constraints proactively and solving them together., • Act as the primary interface for program operations management on engineering resource requests, staying ahead of demand and never letting resourcing gaps become delivery surprises., • Apply rigorous product development process discipline: work breakdown structures (WBS), statements of work (SOW), risk management plans, and requirements traceability matrices., • Direct the documentation, distribution, and maintenance of Requirements Functional Specifications (RFS), including preliminary system architecture and conceptual design., • Oversee the development of Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)/System Acceptance Testing (SAT) and actively lead their execution., • Analyze project economics, providing actionable insight on cost-benefit, ROI, and budget performance., • Review project plan modifications in collaboration with stakeholders, maintaining a strong change control discipline., • Leverage Broadcom Clarity as the primary platform for project planning, scheduling, resource management, and reporting with proficiency., • Operate confidently within Azure DevOps (ADO) and take advantage of the forthcoming Clarity-ADO integration to streamline workflows and reduce manual overhead., • Maintain all project documentation, governance artifacts, and deliverables in SharePoint in alignment with PMO repository standards ensuring materials are organized, current, and accessible to the right stakeholders., • Demonstrate practical AI literacy: actively use Microsoft Copilot and other AI-enabled tools for documentation, reporting, risk analysis, and decision support as Opus continues to expand its AI capabilities., • Stay current on emerging technology trends relevant to Opus's business and proactively identify opportunities where AI or automation can improve project delivery outcomes., • Champion the adoption of modern ways of working within the PMO and across project teams. Requirements Technical Knowledge • Deep knowledge of systems engineering practices, requirements development, and management., • Expertise in digital technology and software/hardware systems implementation, including requirements gathering, analysis, and design., • Proficiency in Broadcom Clarity for project and portfolio management; experience with Azure DevOps and SharePoint preferred., • Practical experience with Microsoft Copilot or other AI productivity tools; genuine curiosity about how AI can improve delivery outcomes., • Strong command of scheduling, budget tracking, resource assignment, and quality management tools., • A driven leader who sets a high bar, leads by example, and inspires teams to deliver their best work, not through pressure alone, but through transparency, partnership, and genuine investment in shared success., • Proven ability to influence, without authority, to align, motivate, and drive action across teams and stakeholders who don't report to you., • Strong ownership mindset: you identify problems early, escalate without hesitation, and drive them to resolution, bringing solutions, not just status updates., • Exceptional stakeholder communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to calibrate message and detail to the audience, from engineers to executives., • Demonstrated experience navigating ambiguity in large, complex programs with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities., • High accountability: you hold yourself and your teams to commitments and address performance gaps directly and constructively., • Agile mindset and continuous improvement orientation; comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments. Qualifications • Formal education in engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is valued; however, demonstrated experience leading complex technical initiatives, system integrations, or cross‑functional delivery teams may substitute for formal degree requirements., • PMP and/or Agile (PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent) certification preferred., • 5–8 years of project management experience in IT or technical product environments, including large-scale projects and software/hardware implementations., • At least 3 years of management or leadership experience in Engineering or IT, including direct customer and stakeholder interaction., • Experience delivering large technical transformation programs involving significant software and engineered product components., • Demonstrated track record of managing projects to an on-time and on-budget delivery with high stakeholder satisfaction., • Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technology trends; a genuine interest in staying current and applying new capabilities to your work. Salary $120-150k
