Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrician Job Description This role supports a large, fast-paced residential construction project of approximately 15,000 square feet in East Hampton. You will install and maintain electrical systems, ensuring safe, code-compliant, and high-quality work throughout all phases of the project. Responsibilities • Install and run NM (Romex) and MC cable throughout the residential project, following plans and electrical codes., • Set, secure, and properly align electrical boxes for outlets, switches, and fixtures., • Install, wire, and test outlets, switches, and related electrical devices to ensure proper operation and safety., • Bend and install conduit, including EMT and rigid conduit, to route and protect wiring according to specifications., • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings to plan cable runs, conduit routes, and device locations., • Pull wire through conduit and other pathways, labeling and organizing circuits for clarity and future maintenance., • Work at a mechanic-level of electrical experience, performing tasks independently and with minimal supervision., • Follow all site safety procedures and apply OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training to maintain a safe work area., • Use personal tools and equipment responsibly to complete daily tasks efficiently and accurately., • Collaborate with other trades and team members to coordinate work and maintain project timelines., • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while representing the electrical team on site.Essential Skills, • Mechanic-level electrical experience on residential construction projects., • Proficiency installing and running NM (Romex) and MC cable., • Ability to set and secure electrical boxes accurately and securely., • Experience installing and wiring outlets, switches, and related devices., • Skilled in bending and installing EMT and rigid conduit., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings., • Experience pulling wire and organizing circuits within conduit systems., • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety certification., • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and be open to working Saturdays., • Capability to work safely and efficiently in a busy construction environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Ownership of a complete set of personal electrical tools suitable for residential construction work., • Professional, well-groomed appearance and strong interpersonal skills., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on a large project., • Reliability and punctuality for early start times and extended shifts.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based on a large 15,000-square-foot residential construction site in East Hampton. The project will be very busy throughout the summer, providing continuous work and exposure to all phases of residential electrical installation. Standard base hours are approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with frequent opportunities to work 12-hour days and regular Saturday shifts. The environment is an active construction site where you will work with tools, cable, conduit, and other electrical materials, often alongside multiple trades. A professional, clean, and presentable appearance is expected on site. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Ronkonkoma, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
