Job Description Director, Individual Giving GSGNY Background The Girl Scouts of Greater New York (GSGNY) is a leading youth development organization serving 16,000 girls ages 5–18 each year. Position Description As part of a six-person Advancement team, the Director, Individual Giving, is the operational leader of Individual Giving at the Girl Scouts of Greater New York. This role reports directly to the CDO and is charged with growing existing individual and major gifts programs by acting as the project manager for this fundraising line, in addition to carrying a personal portfolio of donors and prospects. Working in collaboration with the CDO, and with the assistance of a Development Associate, the Director will plan, execute, and oversee activities for the solicitation of individual donors, including prospect identification, research, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and recognition. The position will also support the CEO, CDO, and board leadership in managing their individual donor portfolios. The Director, Individual Giving must be a fundraising professional who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, organized, bold, collaborative, and creative, who embodies the values of Girl Scouting. Primary Responsibilities · Ensure the receiving either in house or at the warehouse, of all incoming bulk flour, ingredients, packaging materials, bakery supplies and equipment, this is to be done in accordance with SQF and HACCP standards. · Ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule. · Ensure proper documentation by maintaining Receiving Log and that all necessary paperwork for inbound and outbound trucks is completed. · Ensure proper storage and rotation of inventory by maintaining proper dating of incoming items and using them on a FIFO basis. · Ensure an accurate inventory of all ingredients and wrapping materials on a weekly basis. · Ensure the plant is supplied with the proper materials and liaison with the production department to accurately determine the plants daily needs. · Ensure product is dispatched to drivers / customers on a timely basis providing accurate documentation for billing. · Ensure all trucks are loaded properly, that loads are counted and that bills of lading or receipts are signed off by our drivers. · Ensure drivers are scheduled and all runs are covered every day. · Ensure runs are scheduled in a cost- effective manor to avoid unnecessary salary expenditure. · Ensure all trucks are serviced properly maintains a service log with the leasing company. · Ensure all KPI’s and Metrics are reported and met. · Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock. · Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees. · Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner. Job DescriptionDescription The BookOps Logistics Department is primarily responsible for receiving, processing, sorting, and the delivery of all new and circulating materials for 150 branches across 4 boroughs which comprise the BookOps member libraries. The workload volume for the Logistics Department is extremely high. In FY-18, nearly one million new materials were received and processed and over 8 million circulating items were sorted and delivered. These materials are selected to meet the needs of the communities of New York. This service level supports countless projects aligned with reading, learning, and Innovation within the member libraries. This Library Page serves 3 different departments within BookOps Logistics Operations: Receiving and Processing, Sorting, and Distribution. The main functions of this role are to ensure the timely delivery of library materials to the BookOps member libraries. The major steps that are involved in this process are to receive, transport, process, shelve, sort and deliver library materials in an accurate and timely manner. Pages can work across any of these departments. The library page position is scheduled for 19 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Schedules are variable based on library needs and may be subject to change.
