    JOB SUMMARY Hillside Provisions is a family-owned café and restaurant opening in Summer 2026 in Harrison, NY. We will offer exceptional craft coffee alongside morning, daytime, and evening services, aiming to create a new level of dining experience in Westchester County. We are seeking an Executive Sous Chef to work closely with the BOH team, ensuring the seamless execution of all restaurant and café food operations with a specific focus on the in-person dining experience. The primary responsibility of this role is to support, execute, and refine all culinary operations while serving as a steward of food quality, systems, and team culture. This is a foundational leadership position requiring a sophisticated balance of high-level culinary execution, rigorous kitchen management, and staff mentorship. QUALIFICATIONS Experience & Skills • 5+ years of professional kitchen experience required, with at least 2 years in a Sous Chef role in a high-volume, scratch-cooking environment., • Advanced culinary technique, including mastery of diverse cooking methods, preservation, and high-level plating., • Strong understanding of culinary math including food cost percentages, labor management, and inventory turnover., • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new digital management tools and internal communication platforms., • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear directives and feedback., • Current Food Protection Certificate (ServeSafe or equivalent) is required., • Experience in a restaurant opening is a huge plus!
