Job Description We are seeking a recognized Cost Estimator to provide thought leadership and advanced technical guidance across enterprise-wide capital programs. This role requires a deep command of cost estimating methodologies, tools, and industry trends. As a key advisor to project teams, executives, and clients, you will influence strategic planning, lead estimating efforts, and drive continuous improvement across the cost management lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings exceptional depth in cost engineering, experience across multiple sectors, and a track record of mentoring, innovation, and thought leadership within the industry. Organizational Responsibilities • Acts as the technical authority and primary consultant for all cost estimating activities across projects and programs., • Leads the creation, validation, and optimization of advanced cost models, parametric estimates, and probabilistic risk assessments., • Establishes enterprise-wide estimating standards, procedures, and governance protocols., • Consults on cost-related matters with internal leadership, clients, legal teams, contractors, and procurement., • Leads and resolves estimate disputes, variances, or high-profile estimate challenges., • Facilitates executive estimate reviews, strategy alignment sessions, and risk summits., • Evaluates and selects estimating tools, technology platforms, and benchmarking solutions., • Publishes internal guidance, white papers, and best practices; contributes to external industry bodies., • Mentors and trains staff across all levels; designs enterprise estimating competency frameworks., • Leads the integration of cost estimating with project controls, scheduling, and earned value systems., • Provides insight into market shifts, inflationary trends, and escalation strategies., • Drives innovation in automation, AI, or digital estimating platforms., • Other duties as assigned.Qualifications, • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field required; Master’s preferred., • 15+ years of progressive experience in cost estimating for large-scale capital infrastructure programs., • Extensive hands-on experience with estimating tools (e.g., Sage, RSMeans, CostX, PRISM, Cleopatra Enterprise)., • Proven track record of leading high-value, multidisciplinary cost estimating efforts., • Active professional certifications such as AACE Certified Cost Professional (CCP), CCE, or RICS chartership preferred., • Demonstrated industry impact through publications, presentations, or leadership in professional organizations (AACE, RICS, CMAA, etc.) preferred.
