Job Description Position Overview: The Community Reinvestment Financial Analyst is designed to support strategic planning and special projects that reduce family involvement with child welfare systems stemming from poverty and lack of community resources. The Children’s Village has committed to increasing direct investments (DI) provided to families in order to address poverty-related barriers that lead to child welfare involvement. In FY 2021, 1.59% of total revenue was allocated to DI. Our long-term goal is to increase this to 5% to support families more directly through strategic, measurable financial reinvestment. The Analyst will play a critical role in tracking program expenditures toward DI, supporting the organization’s efforts to shift resources into community-based solutions. This includes supporting financial literacy education for youth and families and collaborating with the Finance team to implement and maintain an automated general ledger system that ensures accurate tracking and transparency of these expenditures. Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred. Some college within the field is accepted. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities: • Design, build, and optimize multi-dimensional Anaplan models to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes., • Develop and manage data integration workflows to ensure accurate and consistent data flow between Anaplan and source systems., • Create and maintain advanced financial models to perform variance analysis, cost-benefit studies, and scenario planning., • Partner with cross-functional teams to establish financial baselines for projects and track performance metrics., • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership through detailed financial reports and presentations., • Monitor and ensure the accuracy and health of financial models, including maintaining data hierarchies and managing data hubs., • Conduct sensitivity analyses to assess potential business impacts and support strategic decision-making., • Collaborate with operational teams to validate cost savings and contribute to the execution of value-creation initiatives., • Ensure compliance with financial principles and best practices in all analyses and reporting activities., • Deliver insights through the development of dashboards and visual tools that clearly communicate financial trends and opportunities.• Certification as an Anaplan Level 3 Model Builder or equivalent experience, with a strong background in end-to-end Anaplan implementations., • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, including 3-5 years in financial analysis or FP& A roles., • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with a solid understanding of financial principles., • Advanced skills in financial modeling, data analysis, and tools such as Microsoft Excel, including proficiency with macros., • Experience working with enterprise systems such as JD Edwards, Oracle, or similar platforms., • Strong analytical skills, including expertise in variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and statistical modeling., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders., • Proven ability to produce high-quality financial reports and presentations tailored to senior leadership.
