Job Description Woods Lonergan PLLC is currently interviewing candidates to join its New York office for a full-time Administrative Assistant position in our law firm supporting attorneys and paralegals across the firm. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with administrative experience—or someone eager to learn and grow in a professional legal environment. Prior experience in a law firm or legal support role is a plus; however, it is not a prerequisite. We are focused on hiring someone with the right skills and intangibles: strong communication, great people skills, sound judgment, and a proactive, self-starter mindset. Scope of Responsibilities • Maintain office calendars and attorney schedules, including appointments, deadlines, and reminders, • Draft and edit documents and correspondence under attorney supervision, • Provide day-to-day administrative support (answering phone calls, responding to emails, opening and routing mail, scanning/filing, etc.), • Communicate directly with clients, attorneys, and support staff to coordinate logistics and support matter management, • Track tasks, follow up on next steps, and help keep matters moving efficiently What We’re Looking For • Professionalism, strong organizational skills, and good judgment, • Clear, concise written and verbal communication, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, • Strong interpersonal skills and a client-forward demeanor, • A self-starter who takes initiative, stays calm under pressure, and follows through, • Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and legal workflows Why This Role It will give you the opportunity to work with an engaging, team-oriented group where your contributions matter every day.
