    We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, washing dishes, stocking supplies, and ensuring the kitchen meets all food safety and sanitation standards. Responsibilities: Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients. Prepare ingredients and supplies for daily kitchen operations. Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment. Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations, equipment, floors, and storage areas. Receive, organize, and store food deliveries properly. Label, date, and rotate food products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures. Replenish kitchen supplies and notify supervisors when inventory is low. Dispose of trash and recycling, keeping waste areas clean and organized. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Assist with plating, packaging, or serving food as needed. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Good communication and time management skills. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications: Food Handler's Certification (preferred but not required). Experience with commercial kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks. Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
