Job DescriptionDescription: Leading Freight Forwarder / NVOCC/ Customs House Broker/ Tank Container Operator, with locations in 24 countries and over 3000 employees strong, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Booking & Consolidation Desk - Gateway Americas in our Jersey City, NJ office. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To: • Operational handling of consolidation at LCL Gateway Export / Handling bookings/house files sent by Inhouse Customer Service Team Export, • Handling tabulation of shipment volume of Inbound TS Cargo and Local Export Cargo, determining Consol vs Co-load, • Liaising with freight forwarders, NVOs, shipping companies, pre-carriage companies and the CFS, • Planning of LCL Consolidation Container in respect to IMDG Code and cargo requirements, • Optimize the stuffing and utilization of Consolidation Container / Master Files for Co-Loadings, considering separation of hazardous goods and economic aspects, • Submitting bookings to NVO Consolidator, Shipping Lines, • Timely transmission of consolidated containers to the port of departure, VGM and final check-up of export customs, • Monitoring LCL-Sailing Schedule with Service Center and ensuring that the data is always accurate, • Checking the vessel/document data to create MBL/Manifest, • Preparing/Submitting MBL on Gateway/Master File Level to Carrier/NVOCCs, • Distributing full sets of pre-alert documents (MBL/HBL) to Leschaco Entities and Agency Network, • Coordinating Incoming Invoices, profit share and cost allocation from the gateway to the organization (local and regional), • Handling file audit for master files, • Resolving shipment claims, disputes & problems and identify root cause for preventive measures Requirements:, • 2-4 years of experience in handling LCL consolidations, • Ability to coordinate and manage shipments, consolidate cargo efficiently, and handle import/export procedures, • Ability to multi-task and deal with dynamic problems and variables, • Ability to prioritize workload, work independently, be a team player and work in a fast-paced environment, • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Must have strong computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office Products, • Ability to meet strict deadlines daily, • Medical, • Dental, • Vision, • Flexible Spending Account (Medical and Dependent Care), • 401(k) with company match, • Company paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability, • Paid Holidays plus PTO and Sick Leave, • Voluntary Time Off, • Employee Assistance Program, • Tuition Reimbursement, • Employee Referral Program Background check required.
