About the Company We are seeking a highly skilled Transport and Customs Specialist to join our team at a prominent company specializing in the critical power solutions industry. About the Role The Transport & Customs Expeditor works closely with the Packing Company, Freight Forwarders, Carriers, Customs Broker, Inspection companies, Project Engineers, Project Managers, Suppliers and Clients to speed up deliveries and reduce delivery time and also improve customer satisfaction. Therefore, excellent communication skills, a high degree of flexibility and high organisational skills are essential for this position. Transport & Customs department utilizes, supports and actively encourages the use of electronic tools to enhance service delivery. Responsibilities • Manage global import/export transportation as well as domestic operations, including customs compliance, shipping, receiving, and transport execution., • Ensure adherence to domestic and international regulations, customer requirements, and internal logistics standards while maintaining accurate documentation and data., • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (PM, Order Management, Purchasing, WHS) to define logistics scope, develop transport strategies to support and monitor customer delivery with accurate cost and schedule estimates., • Proactively perform expediting activities to ensure the delivery of equipment, materials, services and related documentation., • Contact clients, manage supply requisitions and communicate with customers to determine delivery dates and inform stakeholders of potential delays., • Ensure interdepartmental communication for improved coordination of productive operations., • Collaborate with Transport and customs coordinators for updates on delivery timelines., • Drive process improvements and support project closeout, including return logistics, contingency planning, supplier evaluation, and continuous optimization of logistics processes and client solutions., • Escalate as required, resolving complaints and logistics-related issues., • Keeping a good track of shipments. Secondary Responsibilities • Attending status meetings with internal stakeholders., • Coordinating roadblocks and possible next steps with the team. Required Qualifications • 2-3 years of experience in a related position., • Validated expertise in project logistics management, including multi-modal transport execution, Incoterms, export/import compliance, and documentation (e.g., ocean B/L, AWB, letters of credit)., • ERP experience (SAP) is a plus., • Good knowledge of MS Office., • An organized and efficient way of working., • Must be able to work with a minimum of direct supervision., • Ability to handle multiple, conflicting priorities. Position Type This is a full-time, salaried/exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
