About Stewie the Duck Swim School In 1989, Kim and Stew Leonard, Jr. lost their 21-month-old son, Stewie, in a tragic drowning accident. Since then, their family has dedicated their lives to preventing this from happening to others funding millions of dollars in swim scholarships and creating a childrens book that has been distributed to over 500,000 families. Stewie the Duck Swim School brings that mission to life. Our first location opened in Norwalk, CT in 2023 and now serves over 1,300 children every week. Our second location is opening in Clifton, NJ, next to Stew Leonards farm-fresh food store. Our mission is simple, powerful, and personal: Save a life, one swim lesson at a time. All proceeds from the school fund swim lessons for underserved children. Daily responsibilities include: • Greet every family with a smile and make kids feel like stars, • Answer phone and email inquiries, assist with scheduling, trials, and registrations, • Give tours to walk-ins and help new families get started, • Celebrate swimmers (stickers, stamps & high-fives!), • Keep the lobby tidy, organized, and stocked with coffee, coloring sheets & merchandise, • Assist with opening/closing checklists and daily reporting, • Support swim deck operations if needed (optional cross-training: instructor, deck assistant, lifeguard) What Were Looking For • Friendly, upbeat people who genuinely enjoy working with families and kids, • Comfortable multitasking and staying calm in a busy environment, • Strong communicator - in person, by phone, and over email, • Basic computer skills (bonus if youve used iClassPro or similar software), • Reliable, organized, and a natural helper, • Able to work some evenings and/or weekends, • Previous customer service or reception experience is a plus but well train the right person(High school diploma or current student with expected graduation acceptable.)
