Job Description We are hiring experienced lead carpenters for consistent full-time work for multiple high-end residential renovation projects in Manhattan. ABOUT US: We are an established and very busy high-end residential general contracting company with several active projects in Manhattan. ABOUT YOU: You are energetic, responsive and have a can-do attitude. You take pride in the quality of your workmanship and enjoy getting projects completed. You pay attention to the details of your work. In addition to being a skilled carpenter, capable of performing rough and finish carpentry for residential gut renovations, you are comfortable managing and overseeing a crew to complete carpentry projects within budget and schedule. You present yourself professionally and work well with other carpenters and trades on the job site. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Performing rough and finish carpentry (framing, sheetrock, cornerbead, base and crown molding, hanging doors and windows and casing) to expected quality standards. * Overseeing and directing project crew members to complete carpentry phases for gut renovations (framing, sheetrock, installing doors, trim, punch list, etc.) and making sure carpentry work is performed properly and meets expected quality standards. * Assisting in the coordination of carpentry work with that of other trades. * Generating material orders on a weekly basis for the following week. * Interacting with site visitors (inspectors, building staff, clients, designers, architects, etc.) in absence of the Project Manager. Leading Manhattan based construction management firm looking for an experienced MEP Project Manager to address mechanical, electrical and plumbing subcontractors on multiple projects. • The ideal candidate is an experienced manager with no less than five years' experience, with the proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire personnel while overseeing projects that range from $1 million to $9 million,, • Preconstruction process to include site surveys/site walks and subcontractor selection and preparation of client proposals., • Management of projects from initial client contact and proposal phases, hand-off to the field superintendents and foremen, through project close-out and punch lists., • Developing/tracking project budgets to include all costs for labor, materials, and subcontractors., • On-site relations with client, facility representatives, subcontractors, and city officials., • Submittals and approval of all subcontracts and change orders., • Ensure that construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule., • Ensure project documents are complete and answer all emails in a timely fashion. Job Description HANDYPERSON Handypersons provide general support for the Public Theater’s facilities. This is an active role that conducts basic maintenance at the Public Theater’s site. Schedule may require evening and/or weekend work at times. Job Description INSTALLER / FOREPERSON BROOKLYN GRANGE DESIGN/BUILD/MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT LOCATION: NYC JOB TYPE: FULL TIME YEAR ROUND (EXEMPT) ABOUT THE POSITION: Brooklyn Grange seeks an experienced builder and installer to join our Design/Build/Maintenance department, which is charged with the design, construction, and maintenance of varied green spaces. This position will support the Lead Installer in executing urban landscape and hardscape projects. Key responsibilities include assisting with the onsite construction of landscaping and hardscaping, following construction-related drawings, and working as part of the crew to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality installations. The Installer is a skilled builder with experience in hardscaping, construction, and preferably landscaping and other trades projects. The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable, and a creative problem solver who can uphold Brooklyn Grange’s standards throughout all phases of a green space buildout. Applicants should be positive and passionate about green spaces and sustainability, and should have experience contributing to construction projects from initial load-in to final punch list. The Installer will report directly to the Lead Installer and work under their guidance. SCHEDULE: The Installer’s schedule will consist of Monday through Friday work, approximately 40–45 hours per week. Installations typically begin at 7:00AM. The role is year round.
