Job Description LABOR & DELIVERY Job Title: RN - Labor & Delivery Rate: Up to $2700.00 weekly Location: Watertown, NY Night Shift (12H) Key Responsibilities Monitoring Maternal and Fetal Well-being: continuously assess the health of both the mother and the fetus during labor. This includes monitoring vital signs, fetal heart rates, and labor progress to identify any potential complications. Assisting with Childbirth: play a crucial role during the delivery process, providing hands-on support to the mother, assisting with positioning, and administering medications as needed. Also, help ensure a safe and sterile environment for the birth. Patient Education and Support: Educating expectant mothers and their families about the birthing process, pain management options, and newborn care. They provide emotional support and guidance throughout labor and delivery. Postpartum Care: assist with the immediate care of the newborn and monitor the mother's recovery. They help with breastfeeding initiation and provide information on postpartum recovery. Collaboration with Healthcare Team: work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and positive birth experience. They communicate any changes in the patient's condition and collaborate on care plans. Qualifications & Requirements Education • Prefer a minimum of five (5) years labor & delivery experience, • EPIC experience required, • Have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Registered Nurse within the state of employment., • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
