Hearst Times Union Media Group is looking for a driven Account Executive to join our Capital Region sales team. This is a full-cycle, new business-focused sales role where you’ll be responsible for prospecting, closing, and growing new accounts, while building long-term partnerships with local and regional companies. You’ll also have a book of existing accounts that generate commissions and you can upsell on our wide swath of digital marketing solutions. Work inside (presenting on Microsoft Teams) and Go outside, we highly value in person meetings. Regular get togethers, happy hours, be part of a Sales office of over 30 sales and support staff. Hybrid schedule, Monday and Friday remote, Tues/Wed/Thursday in office. What You’ll Do: • Own the Full Sales Cycle, • Prospect, pitch, close, and grow accounts across digital, event, and print solutions., • Drive New Business, • Proactively identify and connect with small, medium and large businesses through outreach, networking, and market awareness., • Present a compelling suite of products including best in class Content Marketing, Hearst Any Screen Streaming Television Advertising, SEO, SEM, display including programmatic, paid social media marketing, Email marketing, print solutions, and more., • Build & Manage Your Pipeline, • Maintain a strong pipeline of new and existing business using Salesforce, Outreach, ChatGPT Enterprise, and consistently meet activity and revenue targets., • Deliver Compelling Presentations, • Lead discovery conversations and present media plans that clearly demonstrate value and ROI., • Leverage AI to Win More Deals, • Use over a dozen of our customized GPT’s, AI-powered tools that increase your efficiency, improve client engagement, and close business faster. The reasonable estimated starting base salary, if hired in New York State, would start at about $50,000 (base salary), plus commissions with on target first year earnings potential of $75,000 - $125,000 (annualized) based on individual performance. There is no commission cap. Please note this information is specific to those hired in New York State. If this role is open to candidates outside of New York State, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location.
