This position is eligible for a Sign-On Bonus Position Summary: The Senior Radiation Therapist will function in a supervisory and direct patient care role. This position will be responsible for assisting the Lead Therapists, Assistant Chief Radiation Therapist and Chief Radiation Therapist in the management of daily operations for New York Proton Center radiation therapy services. Duties and Responsibilities: In accordance with the strategic operational plan of the New York Proton Center, the Senior Radiation Therapist will promote and implement programming that facilitates organizational growth by performing the following functions: • Treatment Unit Supervision: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the assigned treatment unit to ensure smooth daily operations., • Conducts themselves as professional role models. License and Certification: Certification and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiation therapy, required. Licensed by the New York State Department of Health as a radiologic technologist, required. Certification in Basic Life Support/ CPR, required. Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a radiation therapist with comprehensive clinical knowledge that includes treatment delivery, required. Simulation experience, preferred.
