Title: Sonographer (PRN) Compensation: $35 - $38 per hour, depending on experience Schedule: PRN schedule (as needed basis) Reports to: Director of Radiology Essential job functions/duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. • Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures., • Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions, fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes., • Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation., • Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies if applicable., • Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance., • Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to safety policies., • Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services., • Independently performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols to patients. Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members., • Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services., • Performs imaging procedures in accordance with accepted standards of practice as set by the radiologists., • Communicates the mission, ethics, and goals of the facility, as well as the focus statement of the department., • Ensures that departmental equipment is maintained in safe operating condition and contacts facilities, or outside repair personnel as needed., • Rotates and covers department shifts as needed and required in areas where obtained certifications apply., • Maintains all necessary licensure and accreditations as required by the facility and completes annual education requirements., • At least 1 year experience in Ultrasound, • Service oriented approach, flexible and proactive, • Must be self-motivated and able to grasp new concepts quickly, • Ability to work in strict compliance with all procedures, rules, and regulations, • Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications, • Ability to excel in team environment, • Diploma or Certification from an approved Ultrasound Technology program, • Certification with, or eligible for certification, by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography ARRT(S) Clinic setting; PRN schedule (as needed basis) Physical demands • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs, be able to, position, push or transfer patients, have manual dexterity and mobility, be able to see clearly at 20 feet or more, be able to see clearly at 20 inches or less, be able to judge distance and space relationships, be able to see peripherally, and be able to distinguish and identify different colors., • Able to sit for long periods (at least 50%) It is the policy of the Institute for Liver Health DBA Arizona Liver Health and Arizona Clinical Trials to provide equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
