Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 05/11/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 10 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 4x10hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: May 11, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Work setting is an acute care hospital Cardiac Cath Lab with 5 suites: 2 for coronary cases, 1 for peripheral cases, 1 for vascular and neuro cases, and 1 for EP (electrophysiology) cases, • Cases vary from 10–22 per day, covering cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR (interventional radiology), EP, and neuro intervention, • RN role focuses on conscious/moderate sedation; scrubbing is not required, • Support staff per case includes 2 techs (one scrub, one monitoring hemodynamics), with a possible 4th team member depending on case complexity, • Cath lab documentation uses Merge; hospital-wide EMR is Cerner, • Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts; start times vary between 0630 and 0730, • On-call rotation required approximately 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month (Friday evening through Monday morning, subject to change), • No floating required, • Hospital scrubs are providedRequirements, • Active CA RN license required; must be active at time of consideration — pending licenses not accepted, • Minimum 3 years of cath lab experience required, • Current certifications required (must be AHA-issued): BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS — pending certifications not accepted, • Current cath lab experience is required; travelers will not be cross-trained across all suite types, • Proficiency with conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, airway management, and cardiac drips (e.g., Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressins) required, • Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps required, • Driver's license required for consideration, • 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehireAdditional Information, • This is a STEMI Center; travelers must be comfortable with urgent and emergent cardiac case workflows, • EKG interpretation assessment is administered during orientation; critical care RNs (ED/ICU/PICU) may be assigned additional assessments covering STEMI and procedural sedation curricula, • Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered, • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
