Job Description Here's what you need to know: At KIPP New Jersey we believe that kids deserve strong, passionate, qualified teachers and staff in every school. As an organization, we believe that it is our responsibility to achieve outstanding results for kids and families, which means staffing our schools with Outstanding TEAMmates. As members of the Talent Acquisition Team, recruiters play a key role in staffing our schools by cultivating and assessing candidates, managing the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and supporting hiring managers in making data-driven hiring decisions. The Talent Acquisition Team is goal-oriented and proactive, and it is critical that recruiters hit their goals. Here are the current topline goals for this role (percentages may shift over time, but this is the general structure): • Staffing and Hiring, • Meet portfolio staffing goals for first day of school and end of quarter (% seats staffed), • Meet portfolio hiring goals for the last day of school (known vacancies filled), • Meet team-wide expectations for time to hire, • Data Integrity:, • Meet team-wide expectations for % of applications are reviewed and scored weekly, • Stakeholder Management:, • Send the School Leadership Team recruitment data update to each school in portfolio weekly Candidate Cultivation and Selection (60%) • Review and score applications, • Conduct and score phone interviews, • Source candidates through a variety of platforms, • Proactively build a pipeline for future vacancies through sourcing and cultivation strategies, • Schedule final interviews and demo lessons for qualified candidates, • Provide candidates with the information they need to prepare for their demo lesson and final interview, • Collect and organize key candidate documents such as resumes, transcripts, certifications, and references, • Set candidates up for success through communication, coaching, and practice as needed, • Calculate salaries and request offer letters, • Collaborate with school teams to create a welcoming TEAM & Family atmosphere for candidates, • Send weekly recruitment data update to each school in portfolio, • Attend and participate in regional leadership meetings for the appropriate grade band, • Schedule and lead talent check-in meetings (3x annually) to foster alignment between a variety of key stakeholder groups about staffing needs for upcoming school years, • Provide proactive, clear, and direct information to stakeholders, • Lead weekly meetings to advise School Leaders on staffing plans, prospective candidates, and hiring decisions around candidate pipeline, level of experience, and school budget considerations, • Know the leaders, teachers, and students at your respective schools by visiting schools for meetings and demo lessons when appropriate, • Build trusting relationships with School Leaders, hiring managers, and school-based staff through clear, direct, and reliable communication, • Engage in system, process, and communication improvements as stakeholder groups change and our organization grows, • Review and score all new applications daily, ensuring weekly application review goal is met, • Score and track all completed phone interviews in the ATS, • Add sourced candidates to the ATS, • Move all candidates through the process in the ATS accurately and efficiently, • Update the staffing plan (Seat Tracker) in real time as seat status changes Key Skills • You are highly organized, • You are energized by talking to people, • You are a strong communicator. Your default is to overcommunicate proactively and clearly, • You are a strong executor who is willing to adapt your processes as needed, • You are motivated to achieve goals and grow your career, • Bachelor’s degree, • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in education or recruitment, • Experience as a teacher-leader (or other manager) in a public charter school or CMO setting with demonstrated results, • Experience managing a relational database (applicant tracking system or customer relationship management system) Additional Information KIPP Team & Family offers a market-competitive salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 for this role. Salary ranges at KIPP are set based on the role level and function using benchmarks in the education and non-profit sectors, and allow for growth within the role. Individual compensation within this range will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to: relevant professional experience and qualifications; education, skills, and training; and market conditions. This hybrid role offers a mix of in-school and remote work. Talent recruiters typically spend one to two days each week in schools and the rest working remotely.
