Job Description Anatomic Pathology Operations Manager Full-Time | Day Shift Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00am–4:00pm (rotating weekends/holidays) Position Summary Responsible for the overall coordination and management of histology, cytology, and MOHS laboratories to ensure high-quality testing, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations. Oversees laboratory leadership staff and supports departmental goals, quality initiatives, and staff development. Key Responsibilities • Manage daily operations of anatomic pathology laboratories, • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards, • Supervise and support laboratory leadership and technical staff, • Oversee quality control programs, turnaround times, and reporting, • Manage staffing, payroll, hiring, evaluations, and competency requirements, • Develop departmental goals, budgets, and capital equipment plans, • Maintain effective communication with staff, leadership, vendors, and interdisciplinary teams, • Promote a safe, professional, and customer-focused work environment, • Support laboratory systems, instrumentation, and software utilization, • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Technology or related science, • Minimum 6 years of relevant hospital laboratory experience, • Current NYS license (Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Cytotechnologist, Histotechnologist, or Pathologists’ Assistant), • Organization and attention to detail, • Flexibility and adaptability, • Stress tolerance, • Exposure to laboratory chemicals, • Frequent movement throughout the department and hospital, • Extended periods of standing or sitting, • Regular use of computers and laboratory equipment, • Ability to respond quickly to operational needs
