Our projects demand exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. We are seeking a motivated Junior Handyman to join our team and support the successful completion of our construction projects. Position Summary The Junior Handyman will assist project managers and skilled tradespeople with various construction, maintenance, and finishing tasks on luxury custom home projects. This role is ideal for a dedicated, hardworking individual who is eager to learn, take direction, and develop hands-on skills in residential construction. The right candidate will take pride in their work and demonstrate reliability, initiative, and attention to detail. Previous construction experience is preferred but not required. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential. Key Responsibilities • Assist with general construction and handyman tasks on active job sites., • Perform basic carpentry, drywall repairs, painting, caulking, and trim work., • Install hardware, fixtures, shelving, and other finish items., • Help maintain job site cleanliness, organization, and safety., • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment., • Support subcontractors and skilled trades as needed., • Conduct punch-list and warranty work under supervision., • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to completed work., • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively., • Identify and report quality control issues to supervisors., • Follow all company safety procedures and job site protocols., • Represent the company professionally when interacting with homeowners, designers, architects, and vendors. Qualifications (preferred but not required) • 1–2 years of experience in residential construction, handyman services, or a related field preferred but not required, • Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, drywall, and general construction practices., • Ability to read a tape measure and use common hand and power tools., • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail., • Willingness to learn luxury home construction standards and techniques., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation., • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions. Preferred Skills • Experience working on high-end residential projects., • Basic understanding of blueprints and construction drawings., • Familiarity with punch-list completion and warranty service work., • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with high attention to detail, ability to write clearly with a high level of accuracy, using proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Professional experience with Deltek Vantagepoint highly desirable, experience with CRM required. Advanced Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, etc.). Professional (working) knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, is considered an asset. Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both verbally and in writing. Ability to work efficiently as part of a team on concurrent, deadline-driven projects; willingness, and ability to succeed in a collaborative, team-based environment. The hourly bill rate that we are aiming for is $65-85 hourly. Providing a wide range here as we are targeting candidates with about 5-8 years’ experience.
