Please visit our website at: Job Summary: The Superintendent is a live-in operations position. The superintendent is responsible for all aspects of maintenance and upkeep in the building. This position is responsible for supervising a staff of handypersons and porters, working in an on-call capacity during off hours and utilizing the work order system to care for issues and damages in tenant apartments. The superintendent works in concert with property management staff to make sure the buildings represent that mission of Project Find to provide quality services to tenants. The daily, weekly and monthly duties of the superintendent job shall be prescribed by the Director of Facilities Maintenance. Responsibilities (This list does not provide a comprehensive set of duties, but outlines the general work expected from this position): • Responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of buildings and grounds., • Train and supervise union and non-union staff building staff members including assistant superintendent, doormen, handymen, security and porters. Responsible for scheduling, assigning duties, maintaining holiday and vacation coverage schedules, conducting any disciplinary action, and approving weekly payroll., • Oversee preventive maintenance and repairs.
