Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Print Production Lead to oversee all in-house commercial and wide-format printing operations for fast-paced, creative projects. Reporting to the Production Director, this role works closely with Project Managers and Technical Designers to ensure print production is accurate, efficient, and delivered on time. This is a print-focused role, with ownership of prepress workflows, scheduling, material inventory, quality control, and equipment oversight. In addition to print production, this role supports cross-departmental production needs, including vinyl trimming, mounting, and light shop assistance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple active projects simultaneously while maintaining clear communication and consistent production standards. Salary Range: $30 – $35 / hour (Dependent on experience) PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Print Production, Scheduling & Communication -Own all in-house wide-format and commercial print workflows from ticket intake through final output. -Process print files using Adobe Creative Cloud and RIP software, ensuring quality control throughout all stages of production. -Operate and maintain printers, vinyl cutters, laminators, and finishing equipment. -Schedule and prioritize print production across multiple active jobs to prevent delays and bottlenecks. -Maintain clear and timely communication with the Production Director, Project Managers, and Technical Designers regarding print intake, scheduling, timelines, and any production impacts. Materials, Standards & Purchasing Coordination -Define print material specifications and coordinate purchasing requests with the Purchasing Coordinator. -Collaborate with internal teams and print consultants on material selection and production methods. -Develop and maintain SOPs for ticket intake, file preparation, color management, resolution standards, and version control. -Establish clear file naming, folder structure, and version tracking practices. -Ensure tickets contain complete production information prior to execution. -Stock, track, and organize print consumables and perform routine preventative equipment maintenance. Cross-Department Support & Continuous Improvement -Assist with print finishing, including trimming, weeding, laminating, mounting, application, labeling, wrapping, and packing. -Collaborate across departments and take on tasks as needed to support production and overall shop capacity. -Support laser cutting and 3D printing workflows, including file preparation and scheduling coordination. -Identify opportunities to improve workflows, communication pipelines, and production efficiency. -Train approved team members and maintain a clean, safe, and production-ready workspace. Requirements -Bachelor's degree in industrial design, architecture, graphic media, or related creative field preferred. -3+ years of pre-press setup and print production experience in fast-paced creative production environments. -Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and RIP software. -Experience with vinyl cutting and CAD-based file preparation preferred; Rhino or Fusion 360 experience is a plus. -Strong working knowledge of print substrates, laminates, adhesives, specialty media, and production methods. -Proven ability to deliver projects that meet client expectations while maintaining schedule, budget, and profitability. -Working knowledge of MS Office and related business tools. -Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. -Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management and multitasking abilities. -Maintains a calm, solution-driven attitude in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. -Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally across departments. -Ability to lift 50+ lbs and remain standing for extended periods. -Must be flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work occasional extended hours, including overnight, and weekends, when necessary. -Must be professional, punctual, and dependable, with a strong sense of accountability. -Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Benefits • Employee Health Insurance.
