The family's residential portfolio spans New York City, Connecticut, Eastern Long Island, Puerto Rico, and Florida, with a primary near-term focus on the Connecticut property. Many of the residences are currently under renovation or construction and will be completed on a rolling basis over the coming years. The Director of Residences will oversee all properties with the understanding that not all homes are yet complete. This role requires a highly hands-on professional who can serve as a trusted representative and extension of the principals. The Director will oversee daily operations, staffing, vendor management, and large-scale construction and renovation projects, ensuring each property is meticulously maintained, fully operational, and aligned with the principals' standards and preferences. Extensive travel is required, and the Director must be present at properties as needed based on family and estate priorities. The Director of Residences will work out of the Family Office and act as the primary liaison between the principals, property managers, household staff, contractors, and service providers. This individual must be able to independently evaluate each property, identify immediate and long-term needs, and develop clear timelines and actionable plans for maintenance, capital improvements, and renovation priorities. Strong construction knowledge, budgeting expertise, and the ability to manage projects from conception through completion are essential. This is a collaborative, service-oriented role that requires discretion, flexibility, and a 24/7 mindset. The Director is expected to proactively relieve the principals of operational oversight by anticipating needs, managing complex projects, and providing regular status updates without prompting. General hours are expected to average 50–60 per week, with availability outside standard business hours as needed.
