Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), school based, full or part time RCM Health Care is looking for a Speech Language Pathologists to provide services to school students, in and around Bayonne, NJ. Services must take place in person at the school. Participate in Team conferences and communications with parents and students, and recommend intervention strategies for the Individual Education Plan (IEP). The program will use social media campaigns to promote awareness of mental health issues; risk reduction strategies; substance use, hepatitis, and HIV prevention options; and anti-stigma messaging. PURPOSE: The Mishkon Division provides supports and services in a healthy and safe environment for individuals with intellectual/ developmental disabilities living in residential programs and in community settings. The Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) provides behavioral assessment, intervention, and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) under the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) in New York State. The BIS develops and implements Positive Behavior Support (PBS) plans, conducts Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), and trains staff/caregivers to ensure individuals receive effective, person-centered behavioral services in residential, day habilitation, or community settings. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Behavior Specialist, Level 1 will design, implement and monitor the Behavior Management Programs, Instructional Goals and Valued Outcomes for all individuals using the Positive Approaches Paradigm. This individual must be familiar with OPWDD and DOH regulations as they apply to the Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) and Independent Residence Alternative (IRA) and Community Services, such as Day Habilitation. Job Description The Mental Health Association is seeking Per Diem Peer Support Specialist for our new program, 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Team, operating out of Essex county. The 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Response program will respond to adults (18 and above) in nonlife-threatening situations who have contacted the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Response program (MCORT) responds 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year, to nonlife-threatening mental health, substance use or suicidal crises in the community. MCORT will work in coordination with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline crisis centers. (The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline was formerly the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.) MCORT is to be comprised of a two-person team in the field under remote supervision by a third professional from a centralized location. Shifts are on an as-needed basis for this position. Position Overview Supervised by the Assistant Principal of Student Services at the network, the Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) provides services for students with speech, language, and hearing impairments, helping students to adjust and access the general education curriculum. The SLP collaborates with teachers to support high impact language intervention and evaluations. Successful NSLPs consistently help students achieve - collecting, analyzing, and implementing data-based strategies regularly for both the students on their caseload and also students that have been identified as needing additional support. The SLP is in current possession of ASHA Certification and New York State license for Speech-Language Pathology. This position requires a positive, flexible, solutions-oriented, organized, and innovative specialist. Core Competencies & Responsibilities • Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to students, implementing both pull-out and push-in models based on individualized education plans (IEPs) and best practices, • Develop and implement engaging therapy activities and materials aligned with students' goals, • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment for students with speech and language needs, enhancing access to general education and supporting progress toward individual goals, • Collaborate with teachers, learning specialists, and other service providers to integrate speech and language goals into the general curriculum, • Draft IEP reports in preparation for meetings and attend IEP meetings as needed, • Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff in assisting students with speech and language needs, • Maintain regular communication with families, keeping them informed of progress and providing guidance on supporting their child at home, • Conduct speech and language screenings for students as needed, • Offer support to students of various ages and linguistic backgrounds, addressing needs through a Response to Intervention-tiered model, • Participate in MTSS and IEP meetings, provide guided reading instruction, and collaborate with contracted therapists, • Coach and provide consultation for fellow speech-language therapists, including writing annual IEP reports and conducting interim assessments, • Provide consultation and professional development for general education teachers and administrators, • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, progress notes, and therapy plans, • Report progress toward IEP goals three times per year (Goalbooks), • Complete treatment notes and progress reports promptly according to school policy, • Manage a detailed log of services provided and missed due to student or therapist absences, • Document all aspects of work with students in SESIS IEP according to school and state guidelines, • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited school of speech language pathology, • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, • Current NY license as a Speech-Language Pathologist, • Two years of related experience, preferably with elementary/middle school aged children, • Excellent time management skills, flexibility, and ability to work independently and problem solve, • Effective communication skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, • Commitment to meeting the needs of a diverse student population, • Comprehensive Professional Development: More than 225 hours annually, featuring two weeks of onboarding, coaching, and targeted training sessions to ensure staff excel in their roles and flourish., • Community and Culture: An intentionally joyful workplace with over 30 bonding events each year, fostering connection and collaboration among staff and families in the Bronx., • Flexible Health Coverage: A full suite of medical, dental, and vision plans designed to support diverse needs, utilizing Cigna and Anthem provider networks., • Competitive Compensation: A salary range of $86,000 to $103,000, with pay varying within this range based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience., • Retirement Plans: A 403(b) plan and 401(k) retirement options with matching contributions, helping you secure your financial future while you grow with us.
