Intuit is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our dynamic team as dedicated year-round TurboTax Local Service Experts in one of our new TurboTax locations across the United States. This unique opportunity combines tax expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and community engagement to help customers navigate their tax needs. As a TurboTax - Local Service Expert, you will serve as a trusted advisor, empowering customers to achieve positive financial outcomes while supporting Intuit’s mission of “Powering Prosperity Around the World.” About the Role: In this role, you will work on-site from a TurboTax location as part of a collaborative team of financial experts, serving in-person and virtual customers who use Intuit TurboTax products. Your primary focus will be full-service tax return preparation, providing expert tax advice, calculations, and software support, but your responsibility extends beyond that. You will be the connective tissue between your customers and a broader team of specialists covering business tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, and advisory services. This is not a hand-off model. You will sit in the same customer meetings, absorb the same context, and build a shared understanding of each customer's complete financial picture, then work in lock-step with the right experts to deliver a seamless, end-to-end Intuit experience. Your ability to understand each customer's unique situation and connect with them on a personal level is critical. Taxes can be stressful, and your presence as a trusted, knowledgeable guide makes all the difference whether you're helping with a straightforward W-2 filing, navigating a major life event like marriage, a new child, or elder care, or tackling more complex scenarios involving business income, investments, or amendments. Additionally, you will play a key role in growing TurboTax’s client base within the local community, attracting new clients, establishing long-term relationships, and driving customer loyalty. You will leverage TurboTax marketing support and software to empower you in building a thriving business that fosters prosperity for both you and your community. This role is nonexempt and requires onsite presence at a TurboTax location in the United States. Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice. Utilize resources such as government websites, professional tools, and team expertise to deliver accurate tax solutions in personalized everyday language. Be a Proactive Community Ambassador - Embody a “community ambassador” and “business owner” mindset to actively build and grow a new local customer base for TurboTax. As a primary driver of local growth, you will own your market — identifying and pursuing prospects through targeted outreach, grass-roots marketing initiatives, referral networks, and community partnerships. Serve as the local face of TurboTax, converting new prospects into loyal, long-term clients. Organize and lead local events such as financial literacy workshops, community pop-ups, and networking gatherings with the support of TurboTax marketing tools and resources, to create consistent opportunities for customer engagement and brand awareness. Champion the Full Intuit Ecosystem - Act as a trusted guide for every client by developing a deep understanding of their complete financial picture and connecting them with the Intuit solutions best positioned to move them forward. As you build relationships through tax engagements and collaborative client meetings, identify opportunities to introduce clients to complementary services such as bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, or Credit Karma that meaningfully address their needs. Your role is not simply to deliver a service, but to ensure every client leaves with a clearer path and the full weight of Intuit's resources behind them for year-round support. Build Relationships - Connect with people, demonstrate understanding and sensitivity to their financial concerns and build the long-term trust that turns a one-time transaction into a loyal, multi-year relationship. Deliver a Best in Class Customer Experience - Create an exceptional customer experience, professionalism, and genuine interest in helping clients achieve their financial goals (e.g., saving for retirement, college funds, weddings, or vacations). - Interact with customers both in-person and through Intuit’s state-of-the-art video communication tools. A career path to Controller on an AI-focused finance team Company: Group One Location: Union, New Jersey Employment type: Full-time Classification: Salaried, [exempt] Reports to: CFO (acting Controller) Group One is a privately held family of businesses providing manpower, facility, security, parking and vending services to airports, airlines and commercial customers. We run a dozen entities from Union, New Jersey, on a modern cloud ERP. We are rebuilding our finance team around Claude and AI-assisted workflows as the normal way of working, not an experiment on the side. $78,000 to $82,000 per year. Placement in the range depends on experience and qualifications. Days: Monday to Friday On site: Full time at our Union, NJ office Position Summary This is a career path, and we're saying so up front. Our CFO is currently acting as Controller and is hiring this role to develop a successor for that function. You'll be introduced to the company deliberately and take on backup responsibility for Controller functions one at a time. Our goal is for the right person to step into the Controller role within about four years, based on performance and the needs of the business. • Prepare the monthly close for multiple entities and deliver P&L and balance sheet packages for Controller review, then take on that review yourself over time, • Keep every balance sheet account reconciled and supported, with an owner and a date for every open item, • Prepare reconciliations tied to third-party documents: bank, line of credit and loans, lease liabilities, prepaids, payroll and sales tax liabilities, and fixed assets, • Prepare intercompany elimination entries and run the intercompany reconciliation across all entities each month, • Own the multi-state sales tax calendar: prepare returns and payments, maintain rate tables, and review calculations prepared by an outside partner, • Maintain the fixed asset register and the insurance and workers' compensation allocation schedules, • Prepare the monthly lender borrowing base and covenant package and all audit workpapers ahead of fieldwork, becoming the day-to-day contact for auditors and the bank over time, • Build and run AI-assisted workflows in Claude for each recurring task you own, and document the procedure behind each one so the work never depends on one person, • Back up daily bank posting and reconciliation, and be backed up in turn, • First 90 days: Run the holding-entity closes and the balance sheet review under Controller review. Read and confirm the procedures, and get your first routines running., • First year: Own the tax calendar, fixed assets, intercompany, the borrowing base and the audit workpapers. Back up every Controller function and take your first delegated sign-offs., • Years two and three: Review the close, sign off reconciliations under the CFO, and serve as the primary contact for auditors and the bank on routine matters., • Goal, within about four years: Controller, owning the control function for the group., • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • Health savings account (HSA), • Life insurance, • 401(k), • Paid time off We are shifting our effort from performing tasks to guiding the business. The finance team is building a platform that lets Group One grow, run the existing business for performance and profitability, and give customers full transparency into the services we deliver. Every routine task we hand to a documented AI workflow is time we put back into that mission. This works best for a motivated team player who wants to help build something, not just fill a role. We help each other, we write things down, we ask when we're unsure, and we raise bad news the same day. The expectations are high, and your pace is set by what you take on. Apply through this posting and include a short note on a process you improved and how you used technology to do it. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in accounting, • At least two years of multi-entity monthly close experience, public accounting experience, or both, • Reconciliation discipline: you can show a workpaper that ties, with support, and explain every reconciling item, • Working knowledge of a cloud general ledger (Intuit Enterprise Suite, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite or similar) and strong Excel skills, • Willingness to make AI tools part of your everyday work, • CPA or on the CPA track, • Experience with Claude or similar AI tools, • Multi-state sales tax exposure, • Airport, facilities or staffing industry experience, • Setting: Office-based, full time on site in Union, NJ, • Physical: Extended periods of computer and desk work Group One is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
