Job Description Reports to and supports the Vice President of Compliance in managing grant compliance, reporting, and monitoring across public and private funding sources. This role plays an active part in ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining certifications, and supporting audits and risk mitigation efforts. The Associate partners cross-functionally with program, finance, and leadership teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting and adherence to funder, regulatory, and internal requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage compliance responsibilities with increasing autonomy. The role also provides an internal audit function to ensure policy and procedures are being followed. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of grant compliance reports., • Monitor compliance with federal, state, local, and private funder requirements., • Maintain and manage grant documentation, reporting calendars, and certification records., • Conduct routine compliance reviews and assist with internal and external audits., • Support the development and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls., • Periodic review of loans and procedures to ensure policy and procedures followed., • Assist with grant applications, amendments, extensions, and post-award requirements., • Collaborate with program and finance teams to ensure programmatic and financial alignment., • Bachelor’s degree required., • 2–4 years of experience in grant compliance, reporting, audit, or nonprofit administration preferred., • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills., • High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with databases or grant management systems., • Experience in CDFI, nonprofit lending, or community economic development strongly preferred., • Commitment to social impact and economic development in underserved communities.
